Chapter twenty nine

Cadence POV
We had exactly one week until the start of Christmas break which meant the girls and I would be leaving for Florida soon. My dad, Mary and Arabella were supposed to be flying out the same day as us but since Mary's mom is still in the hospital we were just gonna meet them there. I didn't really mind because that meant I got to spend a couple of days with just my mom, the girls and Jonathan. Jonathan is my moms boyfriend, they had been dating for a few years and things have been getting pretty serious between them so I was low key excited to meet him.
I wasn't really hungry because I smacked during my first and second block but I headed to lunch anyway. Just as I was about to walk into the cafeteria Ruby pulled me aside. "What are you doing here?" I questioned. "It's an b day not an a day." She didn't say anything she just grabbed my hand and led me to the locker room. The first two people I saw when we entered the locker room was melody and Ruby. My mind instantly started racing with all kind of negative thoughts. "What's going on? Is everybody okay? is it my mom or my dad?" I questioned with tearing welling up in my eyes. "What happened?" I screamed just tell me. "No, no, no." Kaprial said getting up and pulling me into a hug, everybody's fine I swear we just have something that we wanted you to see. I wiped away my tears and looked at them. What is it? y'all are really scaring me I confessed. Just tell me what's going on. Ruby motioned for me to come sit next to her and when I did she handed me her phone and pressed okay on a video. I couldn't believe what I was watching. I pushed Ruby's phone away from me and stood up. "I'm so stupid." I cried "I forgave him, I gave him another chance and he betrayed me AGAIN." I said punching a locker. "Listen I'm not trying to be naive and I'm definitely not taking his side but how do we know this video isn't old?" Kaprial asked trying to calm me down. "He just recently got that tattoo on his arm I said in between sobs so wether that video was recorded yesterday or two weeks ago he still cheated on me. Ruby got up and kicked the wall "he's a fucking idiot man, I swear you don't deserve this and I'm sorry we ever talked you into hearing him out." She said about to kick the wall again before Mel stopped her. "I can't stand that bitch, I swear I'm gonna hurt her. she's Evil, I'm telling y'all this is the reaction she wanted and Andrews just stupid he can't see what she's doing but to hell with him." Listen to me melody said kneeling down in front of me. "Your worth so much more than this, and trust me I know how bad your hurting right now. I found out I was pregnant a couple of months into me and ken's second year together and after finding out he cheated on me I was so stressed I lost my baby but you would of never known that if I didn't say anything because we're in a better place now and I had to learn to forgive him and I'm not telling you this because I want you to forgive Andrew I'm telling you this because I need you to forgive him not for his sake but for yours. I can see the hurt all over your face right now so I know it's in your heart and for you to be able to heal you have to forgive him first and I know it's not gonna be easy but eventually you'll come around and in the end you'll come out stronger then you went in, and you'll be better prepared for your next relationship.
