The girls and I had so much fun at Dave and Busters last night we decided to go again.
I was walking around eating my funnel cake when a little girl walked right into me. "I'm sorry." She said with an innocent look on her face. "It's okay sweetie." I said brushing powdered sugar off my shirt. She was so cute and innocent looking and she was brown skinned with long pretty curly hair. I went and stood in line for another funnel cake and then went back off to go find the girls. "Did you get lost?" Melody asked looking concerned. No, I went to go get a funnel cake but then this little girl bumped into me causing me to drop it so I had to stand in line for another one. Ruby was about to say something but Instead she just starred off at something behind me. Just as I was about to turn around I felt a tap on my side. I turned around and my eyes met the same little girl who had bumped into me earlier. "Here this is for you." She said handing me a five dollar bill. "My mommy said since I made you drop your cake I should offer to buy you a new one." Awww that's nice of her I smiled, but I already have new one. I said pointing to my funnel cake on the table. "How about you just take this money and go get you some candy." Her eyes grew big and then her lip stretched into a big smile. "I like candy." She said with a smile still plastered on her face. "My name is Aubree what's your name? she asked. That's a beautiful name Aubree I'm cadence, nice to meet you. I said shaking her hand. "That's a beautiful name cadence, nice to meet you but Im gonna go get candy now she said before running off.
The girls and I continued to play games for a couple of hours and then we headed back home. It was six eleven on the dot when we got back to our condo meaning we had about an hour and a half to spare before Tristan and his friends came over to prepare dinner.Dinner turned into a kickback. Tristan made steaks, corn on the Cobb, mashed potatoes, and shrimp and his friends brought over some wine coolers. I went in the kitchen to grab some ice for my drink and I spotted Andrew in there cleaning the dishes in the sink. "You okay." He asked looking up from the sink. "Yeah you? How come your in here doing the dishes while everybody else is out in the den playing games and enjoying there self?" Business before pleasure he said rinsing off the plate he had in his hand. You were hired to make food not wash the dishes so come on. I said pulling him outside. Are you always nice? helping your maids with the dishes and pulling them away from work is that a regular thing for you? He asked "unfortunately I don't have a maid but yes I am always nice or at least I try to be." I said taking a seat at the edge of the pool. "Well that's a nice quality to have" he said before pulling up a chair next to me. We sat in silence for a while and then he spoke again. "I don't wanna bring up any troubles or anything but what happened to you the other night at the food court? I hope I didn't do anything." I sat in silence contemplating wether or not I should tell him about the situation with Andrew or not and then I spilled. He listened to me talk for what felt like hours before he actually spoke it. "It takes a strong woman to stay in a situation like that and try to move past it, sounds to me like you took bullet after bullet before you decided you just couldn't take it anymore and it doesn't make you any less of a woman if you have to break down and cry every once in a while, everybody reaches there breaking point at some point in time and that's perfectly normal, you just have to allow yourself to heal. Give it time don't try to force it on yourself.
