This is the first book in a 3 series story. Merciless (Mercy) Knight was never a good person. In fact she's the exact opposite, hence her name. Her parents abandoned her as a baby forcing her to grow up on the streets where she was eventually found...
Over a millennium ago, there was a legend. It said that every 100 years a new evil would be born. A force so cruel it would be strong enough to destroy everything. But, with most legends there is a light in the darkness destined to defeat the evil, and in rare cases, the evil prevails. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened in centuries. One day in October of 2036, there was a girl who fell in love with a man. Together they were the light that would defeat the evil that was about to be born. However, little did they know that the baby being born would be their demise and that the baby's future kin would be the one who finishes the job. Who knows? Maybe it will take a completely different turn. The baby's name was Merlin. She grew up in a well rounded and strict household, but, like every other 15 year old girl, she wanted to explore new things and be rebellious. Throughout her teenage years she caused mischief and trouble everywhere she went. Everyone at school knew to never mess with her unless you were looking for a fight. Nothing could stop her from being evil, and with every rebellious teen, she was bound to fall in love with some bad boy on the streets. His name was Eli. He was just as evil as her but, he took it to another level. A level so bad they always got arrested. One day Merlin was fed up with Eli and slept with another man. The end result was her becoming pregnant. However the child was Eli's. He was furious with Merlin and tried to kill her. She may have been evil but, deep inside she knew she had to protect her unborn child. With the help of a witch she found, she was able to escape to a fantasy world filled with everything you would see in a fairy tale. In this new world she would begin her new life as a full fledged villain. In the other realm (Regular Earth) Eli was not happy. He did everything he could to find Merlin, but, it proved pointless. He soon found the same witch that sent Merlin away and asked her to send him there as well. The witch told him he had to pay a price. He offered to sacrifice the life of their unborn baby Merlin was pregnant with. The witch accepted the offer and sent him to the fantasy world known as Eden.

The other couple who are the light destined to defeat the evil were also in this world. They were searching for Merlin. Eli on the other hand was just trying to steal their unborn baby to pay back the witch. On a cold and rainy night, Merlin went into labor. She was not in the right place to give birth. In fact she was about to be killed by not only Eli but, also by the couple who shined brighter than anything else. The couple had tricked her into thinking they were doctors. Letting them inside her home was a grave mistake. They attacked her as soon as her water broke. Eli was hiding outside her window the entire time, and when he joined the fight, it made the situation worse. In an desperate attempt to fight them off, Merlin decided to do something that would change the life of her baby forever. She was going to seal the evil power within herself inside of her baby and, against her will, she made an agreement with the witch that her baby would take her place as the villain in Eden. It was a final attempt to ensure her child's safety and, with what was left of her strength, she was finally able to push out her newborn daughter, who would later become a force so truly evil, not even the best heroes would be able to knock her down. As for Eli, he was banished to life in prison inside of Eden's dungeon as a result of failing to pay the witch back.

Sadly, Merlin was killed just moments later by the hero couple but, she died happy. Her newborn daughter was sent back to regular earth where she would be safest. The witch gave her the name M, which would soon turn into Merciless. Mercy has no idea what happened in Eden and quite frankly doesn't care. In fact, she doesn't even know that place exists. All that matters to her is getting out of the orphanage she calls "Hell."

Which side will prevail? Will evil take over and destroy the world? Or will the hero be able to stop the villain dead in her tracks? No one knows. Only the witches do? Bringing up the question, How will this legend end?
