Authors Note Ok before I write the poem I would like to dedicate it to my cat Minerva. Today, May 2, 2017, she was sadly put down. She had been outside and ran off and someone called animal control when they found her and they put her down because she was sick. She lived for about 13-16 years, I don't really know her age just that she was about as old as I am, 13. She lived happily and is in a better place now. Now the poem;

Tears Some say tears are weakness, Some say they are a sign of strength, Others a sign of being strong for too long. I say they are a sign of relief, Shedding a true tear shows that you can breathe. Whether it be a tear of sadness Or a tear of happiness, You are breathing, relaxing, calming. By crying you release emotion. Emotions can be beautiful, But even beautiful things can kill you. Crying isn't just a sign of sadness, happiness, or strength, But a sign of relief as well. ~BMR
