Previously: I gulped hard and checked the door to make sure that Bonnie was gone. I opened the door and when the coast was clear, I did exactly what he told me and took note of their patterns. I made sure to check my blind spots whenever I couldn't find them in their usual stomping grounds. The rest of the night was thankfully uneventful.
6 am rolled around and I noticed all of the animatronics turn and return to the main stage. I opened the doors and clocked out making sure I had all of my things in hand. As I exited the building I looked around taking in a deep breath to calm my still racing heartbeat. I noticed there was still a car in the parking lot and to my surprise, it was Mark's car.
I walked over to it and noticed him passed out in the driver seat. I tapped lightly on his window. Mark jolted up and looked at me in shock that quickly melted into a smile. He opened his car door and hugged me tightly. "I told you that I'd be alright." I hugged him back and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. We both blushed lightly and let go of each other smiling. I looked down to the ground as I said, "Mind giving me a ride home?"
His smile grew bigger as he replied, "I don't mind one bit."
We drove to my place and I offered him to come and watch a movie. Unfortunately he had to decline cause he had a meeting with the general manager. I went inside after giving him a soft kiss on the lips. "Will you at least come by so you could give me a ride to work? I'd like to talk to you before my shift starts tonight."
I awaited his answer as he smiled and ran his hand through my hair reassuringly. Mark winked and said, "Of course m'lady."
"See you then." I turned around and opened my door and waited till he drove off to go inside. I sighed and decided to take a well deserved hot bubble bath to release some of the tension that built up over the course of last night. Afterwards I got into my comfy pj's and grabbed a light snack from the fridge. Once I was done, I cleaned up the mess I made and went into my bedroom, flopping down on my bed and quickly passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow and I closed my eyes.
I woke up to a knocking at my door. I reached over and grabbed my phone and looked at the time. My eyes grew wide. "Shit.... " I rushed as quickly as I could to put my uniform on and answer the door. "I'm soooo sorry..." I was trying to put on my steel toe boots as I opened the door. "I overslept." I almost fell over as my shoe slipped out of my grasp, but thankfully Mark reached out and caught me.
"You gotta be more careful." He smiled and as soon as I looked up and started to laugh, he did as well.
I quickly got myself up on my own feet and cleared my throat grabbing my boots and walking over to the couch to put them on. "I'm honestly surprised that I slept through my alarm... all three of them. Thank you for coming over before the shift though."
"Well you did say that you have questions," Mark said putting his hands in his pockets and shrugging a bit.
"Oh, yeah... that's right.... Ummmm..... I was gonna ask..." I stood up finally having put on my boots and grabbing my work stuff. "Are there any other tips that I should know about when it comes to Freddy's?"
Mark looked down and shook his head ever so lightly. "Well, all I can tell you is that you need to keep an eye on Pirates Cove."
"But I thought Foxy was out of order..." I look up at him with a confused look on my face.
He looked at me and began rubbing his neck. "Not as out of order as you would think..."
"Damn... Well... let's get this night over with..." I let out a sigh as we walked out of my apartment and walked to his car.
I got in and looked over at Mark as he made his way to the driver seat. As soon as he got in another thought popped into my mind. "Mark... Why were you waiting for me after my shift?"
Mark smiled and looked at me as he started the car. "I was worried about you. I wanted to be nearby if you needed me to come in and be your knight in shining armor."
I smiled back. "You didn't have to you know.... but thank you for doing that." I turned on the radio. I was hoping that the music would calm my nerves before my shift started and I had to be on high alert. One of my favorite songs starts playing and I begin to sing along.
-Time skip brought to you through your singing-
Mark drove up to Freddy's and I turned off the radio. "Thanks for the ride." I tilted my head ever so slightly. "Will my knight in shining armor be here in the parking lot in case I need saving?"
"You bet your ass I'll be here." Mark reached over and held my hand. "I'll be right here until you get off of your shift and I know you're safe."
I blushed and opened the car door. "Thank you." I got out and closed the door, waiting for him to park so he can unlock the doors and I could get this night over with.
He rushed over when he found a close spot and unlocked the door to Freddy's. I look over at him and give him by bravest smile. "Don't worry Mark. I'll make it back to you in one piece and not stuffed in a suit."
He looked back at me trying to look like he believed me, but I could tell there was some underlying doubts. "Just hurry on inside. You don't have much time before you know what happens. Stay safe." He opened the door and quickly locked it behind me.
I ran over to clock in and over to the office. I placed the 2nd 'training' tape in and pressed play.
