Just One Day

I looked at your picture on my phone. Yes. I saved your picture as my wallpaper so everytime I miss you I could look at it immediately.

I miss you. Terribly.

I want to see you. I want to hold you.

I long to feel your warmth beside me again.

But what can we do?

We're both busy with our individual activities.

Me, with my group's world tour.

You, preparing for your comeback.

I want to see you, even for JUST ONE DAY

My hyungs and I are currently in our concert venue here in Bangkok, Thailand. My girl's hometown. We just finished rehearsing and later we'll go in our waiting room to prepare for our concert proper.

I was shocked when I heard my phone ringing- with that particular ringtone I assigned for you.

I immediately picked up my phone, not wanting to make you wait.

"Kookie!" You cheerfully said.

"Lalice~" I replied.

I don't know why but hearing your voice makes me want to tear up. But I can't.

But I should've know better, you know me so well.

"Kookie, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"You know I'm not buying it. Now, tell me what's wrong?"

"I just missed you, Love. I wish I could see you." I said, pouring my heart out because I know there's no use in covering it, because I know, no matter how many miles we're apart, you could see (or practically hear this time) right through me.

"Me too, Jungkook. I missed you so bad." You said. "I wish I could be with umma and unnie later when they attend your concert so I could see you too."

I could hear your voice quivering for a moment and it breaks my heart knowing I'm not there beside you to comfort you.

"Don't worry, Lalice." I console you. "Soon. We'll see each other very soon."

"I know, Kookie. I know"

Just one day. Please let me be with her for just a day. I closed my eyes and silently prayed.

"Jungkook-ah, let's go. We have to get ready." Jimin hyung called out to me

"Arassoyo, hyung. I'll be there."

"Looks like you have to go now huh?" I could hear the sadness in your voice despite you, trying to hide it.

"I'm sorry I'll call you as soon as we're done with the concert."

"Okay. Tell me if ever you saw my mother. I'll wait for your call later. Jungkookie fighting!"

I chuckled hearing your encouraging words. It means so much to me more than you could imagine.

"I will. Bye. I love you, Lalice."

"I love you too, my Kookie monster." I heard your giggle which makes me smile too.

I hung up, not because I want to, but because Jimin hyung called me for the second time urging me to go.

I sighed.

A phone call is not enough to satisfy my longing for you.

Sure it lessen, but as time goes by it only grow more and more.

I walked towards our waiting room with my head low. I don't want my hyungs to see me in such state, I will only worry them.

As I sat in a sofa inside our room, I could feel all their eyes on me. I wonder. But then I decided to just ignore them.

I kept looking down with my hands clasped on my knees.

That's when I saw a pair of shoes approaching me. And not just any shoes but Timberland.

I looked up to see the woman I longed for smiling down at me.

"Hi, Kookie"

"..." I was too stunned to say anything. I didn't imagine that things like this could really happen.

My prayer was answered.

When I got back to my senses, I stood up and enveloped you tightly in my arms.

We could finally be together even if for JUST ONE DAY..
