"Wake up.." Meowed a soft voice in Wolf Fur's ear. The tom looked up. He was in the place of the ancestors again. And a brown speckled she-cat was in front of him. It wasn't just anycat. "Bright Wind?" He mewed in question. Her eyes were wide. "Wolf Fur. Your group, it is in grave danger. Beware. Beware." She meowed. "Beware what?" The black tom asked. The she-cat did not answer him, but only began to fade from his sight. "Wait!" He called but suddenly awoke to Violet Leaf standing by him, worry in her eyes. "Wolf Fur? What's wrong? You were twitching in your sleep." She mewed. The tom looked at his white paws. "Nothing. Just a bad dream." He replied.
"You can't lie to me." She tapped her black and ginger tail on his nose. He purred in amusement. "I had a dream, saying beware, but the cat wasn't saying what to beware." Wolf Fur explained.
"Do you think Rue might have an idea on what your dream means?" The young she-cat suggested, hope and curiosity in her tone. Wolf Fur slowly nodded his head. "I might ask her." He whispered.
"You two sure are up early." Ginger Foot meowed in amusement. The two young cats smiles at each other.
"They're not the only one up." Meowed a voice and Viper Strike padded up with a snake in between her jaws.
"Woah! Nice catch Viper Strike." Ginger Foot meowed looking at the snake.
"Thanks." She meowed, her green eyes suddenly gazing mistily on the white and ginger cat for a moment.
"Too bad as much as you catch these things we can't eat them." Grass Shadow meowed. Ginger Foot nodded his head. "At least they can't hurt us any more," he commented. "Viper Strike is making sure of it!" He smiled happily. The ginger tabby she-cat nodded her head. "Lucky I haven't been bitten by one of these." She mewed setting it down by another one.
"Where should we put them?" Violet Leaf asked. "We don't want to attract attention to us with rotting snakes everywhere." Her whiskers twitched.
"Throw em in the river?" Magnolia suggested. "Would that effect the river water thought?" Wolf Fur meowed, joining in on their chat. "Hmm.. good point." Viper Strike agreed with her brother. They drank from the water. There was no way she could risk lives by throwing a poisonous creature into it.
"Should we just burry them away from camp?" Violet Leaf suggested.
"Good idea." Ginger Foot meowed.
"Okay, I'll do it now, anyone want to come?" Viper Strile mewed, bending down to grab one of the snakes.
"I'll accompany you. Need to do something other than catch tricky squirrels." Speckle Leap meowed, her speckled pelt slightly ruffled. Rue stared off into the trees. She blinked and looked down at a half eaten piece of prey she had gotten from their small prey heap. Magnolia padded over to her. "Are you okay?" She asked the brown and black she-cat. Rue sighed. "I miss Thresh." She replied.
"He isn't far away. No matter where you go." The white and gray she-cat meowed supportively.
