"Megan, those girls you hired are here," Josh explained, "good," she relaxed, "Lexie, since you love birds and tried to steal mine, I have a deal for you, if you do a good job and take care of the birds, I will kindly let you adopt one of the small parrots, as a first parrot, for free," Megan smiled, Lexi's eyes lit up, "I came here to volunteer and never expected that, thank you," she smiled. "Now make me proud," Megan handed newspaper to her, "clean out the macaw cages please," she ordered, the girl went straight to work. "Now Amy, i rescued a 3 legged German Shepard a few weeks ago, i have been having trouble finding him a home, i'd love for you to help me," Megan begged. "I'd love to," she looked passionate, "in fact i would adopt him, maybe my mum could make room for him, we have 6 collies at the moment, heaps of backyard though." She offered, "that's so kind of you, but are these 6 boistress?" Megan asked warily, "oh no, they have a lot of energy but their all breeders and mature." Amy spoke slowly with experience, "can i meet him now?" she asked curiously, "i'd love to have a dog for my own," she smiled. "Sure," Megan lead her to the dog pen, three little beagle pups ran towards her with their tails high and wagging, "where's the puppy?" Amy asked, "Brandon should be in the kennel," Megan pointed to his bed, a little nose poked out of it, "aw," her eyes gleamed, "hello," she cheered as the dog came out, he limped towards her, with effort. "I'll leave you two alone, also please feed them all thank you," Megan finally felt like her rescue was coming together. Amy stroked the big puppy happily, the three beagles jealously jumped up on her and tried to push Brandon away, "hey!" She giggled as one licked her face, "that's not really nice, poor little Brandon is trying to get some attention, "you 4 could be in need for a walk," she decided, getting up and going to find Megan. "Hey can I take the puppies for a walk?" She asked nervously. "Yea sure, the leashes should be in the draws, be free to take them around the street but be careful of any garbage and don't go too far away." She explained strictly, "I won't, I have walked 6 adult boarder collies, I can control four little puppies." She confidently latched the leashes on them and left with them.

The four dogs felt enjoyment as they padded along side by side, sniffing every tree and bush. Amy trotted along with them, holding on firmly. She passed a pet shop not far from the rescue, puppies pressed against the window, desperate to get out, not just to be adopted but to get out of the tight space they where kept in. Amy stared in horror at the place, the first thing by instinct she did was race back to the rescue, dragging the puppies along quickly. Brandon couldn't keep up and tripped over, face planting, Amy stopped with alarm and picked the poor thing up. She kept running till she got back, with a dramatic entrance, she raced up to Megan. "We need to rescue the puppies!" she screamed, catching every ones attention, Megan stared at her with confusion, "what...?" she patiently waiting for a clear description. "Sorry, I'll start again... there's a pet shop I passed and their treating the animals cruelly." Amy explained with a horrified glance. Megan frowned as she listened. "I can't just barge into a pet store without a reason, we can only report it, I don't have the power to do anything, unless we adopt them out," she spoke with disappointment, knowing she was letting them down. "We have to save them all, it's terrible," Amy desperately begged, "are we talking about 'Happy paws?'" Josh asked warily. "Yessss" she immediately turned to him, "well they have been there for years, its gonna be tough to shut that stubborn group of shitheads down." His eyes flamed at the though, "I want to take a few life's out of there, lets adopt them and rehome them after being health checked," Megan thought, "Amy and Lexi can go while I report it to the police," she continued. Amy's eyes lit up with satisfaction and took the puppies back into the playpen. Lexi heard the whole thing, she immediately ran over with interest, the two girls grabbed out the rescue credit card, a few cages, a trolley and left. The two girls nervously walked into the door of the store, she was immediately greeting by a guy, he looked evil and violent, Amy show no fear and waved, she looked around the store with sadness. "You look like you have seen a ghost miss, are you okay?" the guy asked, approaching her. "I'm fine," she had anger in her tone, the guy snorted and walked up to the counter. Lexi had picked out 10 of the weakest hamster's, she scooped them out of the cage, there was a sign that said 'choose me and place me in the box provided' she stared over at the tiny cramped box's with hardly any air holes. She placed them in a cat carrier from the rescue, then she went on to the puppy aisle. They where only $30 each, she spotted pure breed dogs with in the cramped bunch. They where all skinny and had sores from fighting, "how does this place have such a high rating?" she cried. The cages where also open for people to grab them and put them on the chain leashes, hanging on the shelves. She put the carrier down and grabbed as many puppies as she could carry and put leashes on them, she had 8 in total, Three German Shepherd x, 3 Pure Pomeranians and 3 Blue heelers, the dogs wagged their tails for the first time as they saw her. Across the store Amy was taking kittens from the cages and placing them in a shopping trolley
