Silver stars, you shine so bright
For that child with the heart of knight
The world knew the wrong and right
So he was taught darkness, in the light

Silver stars, you sang about silent rain
For that child whose joy was in vain.
Because some mothers never tried to gain
Lullabies for those little hearts in pain.

Silver stars, you recited epics on wars
For that child who hid his bleeding scars
His skin has felt the force of burning bars
And the searing heat of cigarette that chars

Silver stars, you shielded those spears
For that child lost in the battle for years
Not love but he was taught fears
Not smiles but he has known tears

Silver stars, you cried in empathy
For abused children who felt too empty.
Doctors who heal and artists in plenty
But hatred and fear turned none into any

Silver stars, you sang like the lark
For that scared child who hid in the dark
To hide from the monsters that lurk
And to protect him from scars that mark

Silver stars, you are the only shine
For that sleepless child of nine
Darkness had tied to him with twine
So shine so bright with light so fine

Silver stars, you wish to fall from the sky
For that child who awaits to wish for joy.
You are the only one who hears him cry
For world has turned deaf without try

Silver stars, you know the evil villain
For he was once that child in grievous pain.
You looked into those cruel eyes that slain
And saw a scared little child in pain.

Clenched little fists hold the strongest might
Even mightier than ones who know the fight
So silver stars, just keep on shining too bright
For that little child who cries to sleep at night.
