Halloween

Halloween comes once a year,

And fills many hearts with fear.

The pumpkins laugh and smile

While secret shadows chase you for miles.

The trees stretch out their arms

And enchant people with their freakish charms.

Those barren trees sway

While the wind moans all the day.

Children scream and dance

And the adults their appearances they enhance.

The moon holds a ghoulish light

And the fallen leaves quiver with fright.

From the grave, the fear is not heard,

But in their tombs, the dead scream silent words.

Fear holds the night in a tight grip

And branches shake like the crack of a whip.

Halloween comes once a year

And fills many hearts with fear.
