Kassie POV:
It was getting late... I couldn't sleep so I decided I would go on a late midnight stroll and relax. I changed from my red, lacy pajamas into some casual sweats and sweatshirt. I headed out the door.

A couple minutes later I was outside. The cool air nipping at the tip of my nose and the sides of my ears. I gazed up at the moon and decided to just stare at it for a while. I loved it. I always loved the sight of a bright full moon gazing down on me as if it was an old friend I used to know. My body began to loosen and I started to drift to a deep sleep, the gentle winds and the songs the crickets sang, lulling me to sleep.

~ About an Hour Later~
Gaara POV:
I was wandering on top of my roof when I noticed a girl asleep, face down on the dirt. I scoffed to myself at the sight of someone being this tired. I decided to be helpful and move her somewhere more sanitary. I picked her up gently and calmly walked back to my house.

Kassie POV:
*YAWN*~ *STRECH*~ uhhh... I felt surprisingly rested as I awoke from my slumber. As I rubbed my eyes, I looked down and noticed I was not in my own bed. The sheets were a rosy red and smelled faintly of cookies... freshly baked cookies... I got out of the bed to find a nice satin dress and heels to put on next to the fireplace.
There was a note, it read "wear me" in fine hand print. I followed its orders and slipped the dress on. It fit perfectly around my slim body and the shoes were just my size! I made my way down the stairs to find a red head (that seemed to be wearing thick eyeliner) sitting on the floor, staring straight forward into a pit of blank nothing. I walked in front of him and broke his stare. He looked at me with soft eyes. "Good Morning" he said to me in a rather plain voice. "Good Morning" I responded. "Sit" he said as he pointed to the worn in red chair. I did as I was told, not saying a word. As I sat, he asked what my name was. "Kassie" I replied. "What's yours?" I asked him back, trying to start up a small conversation. "Oh... me? Well, I'm Gaara of the sand village but you can just call me Gaara." The mysterious red-head replied.  Suddenly, there was a loud bang at the door. "AHHH" I exclaimed in surprise.

Gaara POV:
She was even more beautiful in the light. Her hair elegantly shined from top to bottom. Her eyes sparkled every time I looked at her, her smile... oh that smile... I could stare at it for days on end. I had a sudden urge to protect her forever. Until... there was a loud noise coming from behind me. I quickly went to open the door. Behind it, was someone I would have never expected... Kimimaro.

After I fought him and burried him in sand at that battle so many years ago, I surely thought he was dead. But it seems I was wrong.

Kassie POV:
"KIMIMARO??? Is that you!?" I exclaimed frightfully. "Yes" the man said to me. "Kassie... ever since you have left me that night... during training... I have longed to get my revenge." He replied wholeheartedly. "Kassie, you know him?!?" Gaara asked in surprise. "Yes..." I responded... "he was my ex..." I said with a cold tone. "But ever since he tried to kill me after we broke up, I have feared him."

Gaara POV:
When I heard those words, I knew what I had to do to protect Kassie. For I think... I have found the meaning of love. I charged at him with my sand but he dodged and headed straight for Kassie with his bone sword pointed straight at her. I reacted fast and my sand came to her rescue. He ran right into it. This was my chance. I went right behind him and whispered in his ear... "your over". And with that, I snapped his body like a twig. His soul now departed. I covered Kassie's eyes with my hand for I did not want her to see such a scene. "It is done" I said in a rather melancholy tone. Se then stared into my eyes with a sad, worried gaze that I could not quite name. Then, she ran up to me and kissed me passionately. I kissed back. I loved her and I could tell she loved me. "You are mine now... I will always protect you... for as long as I live... you will always be my moonlight..."
