What do you do when your world is in ruins? Build a new world. That's what they did, just as others have done countless times before them. But this time was different. Our new world was built from fear of the worst kind, and hatred. Our builders were weary of their fruitless searches for a safe haven. So they built one instead.
And here we have stayed for years. For decades. We built up our walls to keep the outside world, and every danger it held, away from us and whoever may come after us. Everyone was content and well taken care of. But our lives held nothing. We were nothing but toys; novelties to those who held a higher position than us. We were given numbers instead of names. None outside of the president and some select government officials really knew what had happened to drive us into hiding from the world. The rest of us knew nothing outside of our cage. We did not see the walls. We simply thought that that was the end of our world. We knew no sky, no rain. But that was soon to change.
