Let me, be me

A shattered soul in a broken home,

A dead heart in a broken body,

This emotionless state caused by constant pain.

And the hurt endured all day.

Stomped and smashed,

Trampled and destroyed.

Tears of pain, behind a mask,

Hides a little boy, afraid to come out,

And terrified of being himself

Scared to fall apart,

In front of all the hurtful words.

The glares and weird looks,

He hides behind drugs.

Sleep, pills, and alcohol,

To keep, his illusions as reality.

Let him be, who he wants to be.

Let me, be me.
