Chapter Twenty Two

The next morning the sun came through the window and woke me. I was confused by the pressure I felt around my waist until I opened my eyes and remember Jordan had stayed the night. We spent most of the night cuddled up on the couch kissing and eventually came to bed and curled up and fell asleep. I looked down at her head on my chest and couldn't help run my fingers down her the side of her face. She looked so peaceful and at the moment I shared in that peace. I knew that when we left this bed I would eventually have to face everything that was going on so I planned on staying in this position as long as possible.

My hand slid down her arm that was wrapped around me and my touch caused her to stir. She slowly opened her eyes and looked up at me with a smile, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you."

She closed her eyes and pulled me closer to her. "Mmmhmm," was all she managed to say and it caused me to laugh. "What was that?"

She giggled into my chest, "Shut up." I couldn't help but smile at how cute she was in the morning.

She finally opened her eyes and looked up at me. "Morning," she said as she reached up and placed a soft kiss on my lips. She tried to wiggle out of my arms and I pulled her back to me, "Where do you think you're going?"

I flipped her over so that I was on top of her holding her down and she looked up at me laughing, "Is it ok if I go to the bathroom?" I sighed as I rolled off of her putting my arms behind my head. "Don't worry we can resume that position when I get back," she said as she pecked my lips quickly and jumped off the bed. She went into the en-suite and after a few moments she poked her head out of the door, "Any chance you have a spare toothbrush?" I smiled, "Under the sink."

It dawned on me that I should probably brush my teeth too so I went down the hall to the other bathroom and used the toothbrush I had in there. When I got back in the bedroom she was already back in bed looking over at me in her boy short underwear and tank top she had fallen asleep in. I stood in the doorway and bit my lip taking in the view, "See something you like?"

I was leaning on the doorway and I knew I was staring but I didn't care, she looked so fucking sexy just laying there and I knew in that moment that we wouldn't be leaving my bed anytime soon, "I see something I want."

Jordan raised her eyebrow and smirked, "Well what are you waiting for?"

I didn't need anymore encouragement as I pushed off the doorway and made my way toward the bed, I crawled in and retook my place on top of her. She looked up at me with such a genuine smile, it was the kind of smile that could warm you on a cold day just because it was happening in your direction. I stayed above her as we stared into her each others eyes until she broke the silence. She reached up and put her hand on my face, rubbing her thumb along my cheek, "You ok babe?"

It was the first time she had ever called me that and you would think that given my current situation it would freak me out, but it didn't. Instead I just nodded and brought my lips down to hers. Her hand snaked around to the back of my neck and she pulled me deeper into her as my left arm slid up under her shoulder and my right hand started to glide under her top.

My leg was pressed between hers and I could feel her breath getting more ragged, she gasped for a breath as I slid my tongue across her bottom lip and hers came out to flick across my top lip. I pulled her tank further up her stomach as I started kissing her neck when she quickly grabbed my hand and rolled us over so that she was on top of me.

She straddled my lap and I looked up at her with my hands on her hips as she lifted her top over her head. She hadn't worn a bra to bed and all I wanted to do was run my tongue across her now exposed nipples. I sat up to do just that but before I could she started to pull my shirt over my head exposing me. I sucked on the nape of her neck slowly kissing my way down her collarbone when she pushed me back down.
