Note: Hi, everyone! I just want to say thank you for holding on through another rollercoaster ride with me, this time with boss Maine and boss RJ. It has been a pleasure sharing thoughts with all of you through the comment section and I hope that you find this story worth the time you spent reading.
With this chapter, I will begin closing the curtains and say goodbye to our dear bosses. Chapter 30 will be the last chapter followed by an epilogue to sum their story up and complete their journey through pain, anger, despair, forgiveness, hope and love.
I just want to say this again: thank you for making me happy and smile with all of your feedback. I will be forever grateful to all of you and please know that for as long as I am able to put words together and tell a story, I will not hesitate sharing them with you dahil kayo din ang nagbigay ng confidence sakin to do this. Maraming maraming salamat! Thank you for staying with me through another story about forgiveness, hope, faith and love. ❤️

"Doc?"
RJ heard Maine ask with slight hesitation when her physiatrist sat with them.
"Yes, Maine?"
Maine looked at RJ as if she was seeking courage from him. There is one thing that's been bothering her for the past couple of weeks but she always held back from voicing it out. She was afraid of hearing an answer she wouldn't like, or getting an answer that would give her false hope. That day, though, because their wedding day is fast approaching, she couldn't help but ask about it.
"Do you think I'll be able to walk on my wedding day?"
RJ felt her grip his hand tighter as she waited for her doctor's answer, making him wrap his arm around her and pull her closer.
"Maine," her physiatrist leaned forward and rested his arms on the table between them. "I have always been honest with you about your progress and I'm not going to change that now. Kagaya ng sabi ko noon, only time can tell, hija. Lagi kong sinasabi sayo that you are making good progress sa rehab mo and I don't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to walk on your wedding day. Pero, Maine, I don't want to give you false hope. You will have to continue working hard to make that happen, at makakaasa kang your entire team, including myself, will be with you through every step of the way. Let me tell you this, setting the physician in me aside, I'm a believer of miracles and your recovery is a miracle that I am lucky enough to witness.
He smiled at her and Maine saw something that lifted her spirits up. He basically said yes to her questions, but taking a lot of things in consideration, he also did not want to give her false hope.
"Thank you, doc. Tuloy lang po ang therapy and I'm ready to work hard so I can walk towards my groom sa kasal ko," Maine said with a smile and looked at RJ for the latter part of her sentence.
"Atta girl," her doctor said with a smile. He was part of Maine's rehab team a few years ago so he was glad to see that after every hurdle she's had to overcome, she chose to keep fighting.
From that day on, Maine worked even harder to gain more control of her lower extremities. With constant reminders from RJ and her family to not burn herself out, she persevered even outside the rehab facility.
RJ and herself were both hands on with the wedding preparation and as the big day came closer, the two of them got busier with making sure everything was up to their liking. After months of preparation, every detail of the wedding has been ironed out and are ready for the big day. For the groom-to-be, he made sure his future wife will have the wedding she deserves.
