"What on earth are you thinking, mister? Why did you say that to him?" Emily asked in range the moment they went inside Clay's car. She wanted to punch and smack him directly on his face, but she was scared that he would leave her in the parking lot the moment she did that. So all she did was to restrain herself from doing those dangerous acts.

After Clay stated to her dad that they were in a relationship, they left her dad alone without waiting for his reaction. It made her feel mad and morify at the same time because in that very moment, she imagined Clay introducing himself as her boyfriend to her dad like he was as if waiting for the approval of her father about their relationship.

Of course, she never dreamed those things to be happened, for crying out loud. But her imagination was trying to invade her whole goddamn mind without her knowing why. It made her more anguish than she was at the moment.

"I should be the one to be mad here, not you. I've waited for you for almost three hours if you don't mind! But guess what? I didn't complain even though you've wasted almost three hours of my life."

"Okay, I'm sorry and I'm aware of it but still, you shouldn't have done that!"

"You should be thankful that I said those things to him. If not, then I guess, sooner or later, you will be doomed," he retorted in a casual way, hands were still busy driving his car.

She suddenly sneeked her lips after hearing his retort. She couldn't help but to feel nervous when she saw something flickering in his eyes, like he knew a secret she didn't.

"W-What do you mean that I will be doomed if you didn't lie to him?" she questioned suspiciously, quirking her right eyebrow.

He took a glance at her on his top mirror, giving her a lopsided smile. "Well, I'm sure he'll continue harrassing you for the fact that you are still single. And besides, he was the one who shouted at you last night. I saw it." He scoffed. "He's a bad a person. You should stay away from him."

"Hey!" she yelped. "You don't have the right to call my ---" She stopped when she realized what  word she would be going to say next.

Clay quickly noticed it. He couldn't help but to take a glance at her with a suspicious look on his eyes. "Your what?" He furrowed his eyebrows when a thought came to his mind. "Wait, don't tell me he's your ex? And he's the other Clay Schleiden, isn't he?"

"What the?" she yelped after she heard his question. "What on earth are you saying?"

"What do you want me to say, then?" he asked in a demanding manner. "That he's your brother? That he's your cousin? Or maybe..." The corner of his lips lifted in a sneer. " ---  he's your dad."

She froze.

'Did he really say that he's my... dad?' she thought anxiously, thinking whether he knew something about her from the beginning, or it's just a mere guess.

She just stopped on questioning her mind when she heard him laughed. She couldn't help but to stared at him in bewilderedness, thinking whether he was being attacked by his unknown mental illness or he just really wanted to laugh, end of presumption.

"I'm just kidding, Hannah. Don't be too serious." He chuckled. "He's too young to be your father so I guess, he's really your ex. The one who ruined my almost perfect name."

"I'm telling you, he's not my ex!" she growled.

Her nose cringed to what he had said. Again, she wanted to punch him, spank him, smack him, and kill him but --- she didn't want to be a bum just because of their petty argument. But still, it didn't change the fact that she felt so nervous because of him.
