P r o l o g u e
"Are you alright, Aza?"
His voice reached me just after I regained balance. My legs are still sore from all the footwork but my mind stayed active. I struggled to catch my breath and stared off across the room, where a worried navy blue haired man stood.
I gave him a gentle smile.
"I'm alright, Prince."
The royalty returned the gesture and lowered his sword. "I'll pretend I never heard that. Let's call it a day, shall we, my lady?"
I nodded and picked up my weapon which layed carelessly on the floor. I followed Prince Lysander back up the winding staircase and couldn't help but stare at his back. He never likes it when I remind him of his title.
As I wandered with my thoughts, Nari nudged my right leg until we halted to a stop. The shadox fox analyzed me with those golden eyes. I frowned and my eyes involuntarily gazed through the huge palace window. I couldn't help but worry for the ones I've left behind.
But then again, the walls over the horizon separated us.. And it also separated me from my old self.
