You and Finnick Odair used to be best friends, but soon were driven apart by President Snow, who fed lies to him about you and vice versa, causing the friendship to end. When you heard that you and your former friend were chosen for the Quarter Quell, you felt a combination of emotions flowing through you. Needless to say, you both avoided each other as much as possible. When the time came to rush toward the cornucopia, you and Finnick were one of the first ten people there. You picked up a backpack, and by the time you stood up, an arrow whizzing past nicked your arm. The next one would've went right into your chest, if Finnick didn't push you out of the way. He raised one hand in defense to the person shooting the arrows, his signature trident in the other. The arrow wielding victor-turned-tribute backs down and runs in the opposite direction. Finnick turns to you and motions for you to follow him, and with a bit of hesitation, you do, thanking him on the way.
