The Grand Magic Games

It was just another day in Fiore. A certain blonde celestial fairy tail wizard was sitting happily sitting at the bar drinking a strawberry milkshake, talking to the long white haired bartender.

"So Lucy, how are things between you and Natsu?" Mira asked the blonde mage

"H-huh, what do you mean?" Lucy said with a confused look on her face

"Are you guys dating or do I need to come up with a plan to make my favorite ship sail?" Mira asked as she was wiping down the counter

Before Lucy could answer, Master Makarov started yelling to get everyone's attention.

"Listen up brats, I have an announcement to make, the Grand Magic Games are going to start in four months, if you are on the team, you will start your training and meet back at the guild two weeks before the games start!" Master Makarov shouted so everyone could hear

"Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, Wendy Marvell, Elfman Strauss, and for reserve is Enno, this is this years team for the Grand Magic Games! Gajeel Redfox, Juvia Lockser, Mirajane Strauss, Laxus Dreyar, Mystogan, Cana Alberona, and Lucy Heartfilia please report to my office!" After the master said more like yelled to the guild as they erupted into cheers

Lucy's POV

I was confused , because I didn't know what Master wanted, well that is the point of going to find out. I began to over to the stairs, toward the guild masters office. I opened the door without knocking to find I was the first to arrive. I sat in one of the chairs in front of his desk. Once everyone was here Master started talking.

"You are all probably wondering why I called you all up to my office," Master started "Well, we are entering two teams for the Grand Magic Games and you all except Lucy will be on team B," Master finishes

"No offense old man, but why should we be on team B since we are all more powerful than the members of team A?" Laxus said in a bored tone

"If your team wins, you get to tell the people on team A what to do for a whole month" Master bargained

"You will all go training just like the rest of the contestants, but you have to be back a month before the games start," Master said in a serious tone

I look at everyone and they all have evil smirks on their faces, well except for Mystogan, he might have been smirking but I can't see his face with his mask on. I'm guessing that they are going to go along with the deal Master is making.

Laxus speaks up and tells him that they had a deal. Master dismissed them, so it's just me and him.

"Lucy my child, you have a letter from the Magic Council, here you go," Master says as he hands me an envelope

I thank him and take my leave, making my way to a table at the back of the guild so no one else can see what it says. The table is so far away from everyone else so I should be good.

I open the envelope and start to read the paper inside.

Dear Lucy Heartfilia,

We, the council, have decided to let those who have sinned, have a chance to atone. We are sending certain criminals to live with you to see if they can live in the outside world and blend into our society.

We are asking you because of your kind, loving, and gentle heart to look after them for a couple of months. There will be a total of seven criminals, and please do not worry about space for them, food to feed them, or if you have enough money to give clothes to them, we will be sending you 859,000, every month, and we will be moving you to a bigger house, so there will be enough room for all of you.

If you are wondering who it will be you will find out only if you except our offer. Please do not discuss this information with anyone except those on the Magic Council, Makarov, and those who already know about this offer.

Suddenly a light grey bead bracelet appeared on my wrist, a hologram appeared above it, it read.
6 days: 23 hours: 52 seconds
It started counting down, but I would turn it into the council tomorrow. The hologram went back into the bracelet, I put the paper back in the envelope, got up and walked back over to the crowded part of the guild to make my way back to the bar for a milkshake to go.

"Hey Lucy, what did Gramps want?" Natsu said as he walk up behind me

"Oh, he wanted to, um...... just see how I was doing is all," I made up because he couldn't know of the offer and this is the first in a very long time that he has said something to me

"Oh, okay then," Natsu said as he walked away back to the table that the rest of Team Natsu except Wendy and Carla were sitting with Team Shadow Gear

I look over at the table Natsu, Gray, and Erza were sitting at. Gray and Natsu were fighting as usual while Erza tried breaking them up, only to have her strawberry cake to be ruined. She went crazy, then the rest of the guild somehow got involved and it broke out to be a full on war between everyone. I knew I didn't want to be in that, so I walked home.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge deal................
