The school was chaotic today, prom was in exactly 1 month was in exactly a month away and every one was being asked out left and right. Signs covered walls and lockers asking people to prom.

It wasn't until i was walking to lunch that i realize just how much prom related activity was going on in the school today. But honestly, i was scared for prom. Not because it was prom, but because the Planning Comity accidentally set the date for April 20th, which is weeks earlier than normal, and conveniently placed on 4/20. Rumor has it Preston Allen, one of the biggest pot heads and pranksters in the school, changed it as a joke but no one bothered to change it.

I sat with Christin and Carter when i got to the cafeteria.

"Wheres Matt?" Carter asked Taylor as he took a seat next to him.

"Finishing a biology test."

I noticed that over the past week or so, more and more of Nash's friends have began to sit with Christin and I. I mean Christin and Nash are practically a couple at this point, so it should be okay, but its just a little weird.

"ERIN!!" Nash yelled as he ran sliding into the cafeteria. "I need your help!" he yelled out of breath.

I looked back and forth between him and Christin who was sitting on the other side of me at the table. She shrugged her shoulders. I stood up and placed my crutches under my arms and followed Nash out the cafeteria and stood just outside of the doors.

"Whatcha need Nash."

"Okay, I'm not asking you this because your her friend...but because your my sister." He rubbed his hands through his hair like he did when he was nervous. "i need help asking Christin to prom. I want it to be super romantic and something she'll remember forever."

"Awww Nash!! Thats so sweet!!" was all i could say. I was so happy for Christin, but at the same time oddly weirded out because she would be going to prom with my brother....

After school

The rest of the school day went by pretty fast actually. I step into the house from off the bus and literally throw my crutches onto the couch.

"Fuck you!" i yell pointing to them. I immediately search the surrounding for my mother, if she heard me she would of sliced my boobs off or something. She hates when i use the f word in the house.

"Erin, that you?" Nash calls as he races down the stairs and stands in front of me.

"Dads here!" he says with a big smile and runs into the kitchen then slides into the garage. I can feel my smile grow as i chase after him as best as possible.

"Daddy!" i yelled and jump into his arms when i reach the garage.

"I've missed you Air." He said hugging me back.

The three of us walk back into the kitchen. Hayes joins us and we all take a seat at the kitchen table like we were instructed to.

"Kids, i haven't seen you in a while." he said as he paced back and forth in front of us. "So, this weekend, i'd like to take you all to California." the 3 of us literally jump in excitement. "We can tour LA, maybe even head up to San Francisco." He smiled big as he proposed the offer. "what do ya say?"

"YES!" We all yelled in unison.

"Though i dont think Skylynn can come" he frowned, even though Skylynn technically isn't even his child. "I just know you all could badly use a break from this town, especially you Erin. its been a rough week for you and Nash." he said giving me a sympathetic frown. "I'll even take you guys to Disney."
