Emotionless

It wasn't Y/N's fault, her parents never showed her any affection, they both busied themselves with work. In the mornings it was quick acknowledgments of her presence, they never ate lunch or dinner together. Y/N's attitude toward her boyfriends showed this, there was no question she was in love with each of them, the question is why she had distanced herself from them in the first place. When she was first asked out by the four men, they expected her to be a little distance but now she was aloof, and the four boys knew something was up, "Good morning, Y/N," John greets her, placing a kiss to her crown,

"Good morning," She mumbled, her smile didn't reach her eyes as it never did which is why the guys never thought anything of it,

John looked behind her to Alex and they shared the same look, they needed to get to the bottom of this, Y/N was surrounded by the dark aura, she was always so serious, so emotionless compared to any of the others in the relationship, it was a cat to a dog, a thunderstorm to a sunny day, "Okay, Y/N, what's up with you?" John's voice was laced with frustration, he was too emotional to ask the questions, so his three boyfriends joined him in the kitchen,

"What John means, is why are you so distant, Chéri?" Laf smiled, wrapping a reassuring arm around John's shoulder's, a hand gripping Y/N's thigh,

The question hit her hard, "What do you mean?" She squeaked, "Nothing is-"

"Bullshit, it's clear something's wrong!" Herc spoke up, his voice threatening in volume,

Y/N felt bad, guilty, she knew what they meant, they all loved her and she loved them too, she just couldn't show those feelings, "I'm sorry," Her voice was barely above a whisper, hot tears rolled down her cheeks, but her face showed no pain,

"What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing, nothing is wrong with me," She tries to protest but all four men shake their heads,

"No, why are you so emotionless?"

Y/N looks to Herc and shrugs, "I guess because of my parents, when you aren't shown any love as a child, it grows on you, and when I discovered my feelings for you, it overwhelmed me, I get butterflies every time I wake up to one of your smiling faces, my heart flutters when one of you greet me home from work, when one of you sings to me, I love you I do, I just can't show it!" She grew frustrated with herself, her nails digging into the palms of her hands,she let them go and there it was, the first time she's ever confessed her past to any of her lovers, she was breaking down, the pained look on her face broke all of their hearts into a thousand tiny pieces, until they were wrapping their arms around her, kissing her face, promising her it was okay, telling her they were sorry for attacking her, "I just need time," She reassures them, smiling at them as they all stand in front of her, her smile reaches her eyes for the first time and this pulls at their heart strings, they all smiled, tears spilling down their cheeks,

Y/N did love them, they knew that now, she just needed time and that was exactly what they would give her.
