Eren thought that he had things completely under control. He thought that he could quit with the drugs and the gangs and that life of crim he was so dependent on.
He never anticipated that there was by no means any possible way for him to be more wrong. Don't get me wrong, I mean - it did work for a while. Of course, that bried period of time where he thought all was right, was abruptly cut short.
Boy, life just loves to give you a nice, refreshing kick in the balls.
