Chapter 2

Trish returned home, she sat down and sighed. She looked at a picture of her and Torrie. She smiled, "After what happened between her and I, I'm surprised she forgave me." She began to think about the situation that happened earlier that night at the store. "I just ran into the guy that I slept with, just to get back at my step-sister." A tear rolled down her cheek. "How could I been so cruel?"

Torrie walked into the room. "Oh Trish, I didn't know you were back. Did you get what I asked for?"

Trish nodded. "Yes, here you go." Trish said as she passed the bag to Torrie. Torrie stared at her and noticed something was wrong. "What's wrong Trish?"

Trish wiped her eyes. "Nothing, you just caught me in deep thought, but I'll be fine." She smiled at her sister.

"Im glad that nothing is wrong with you. Recently I've been thinking about old times. How about we hang out tomorrow, you know like we use to before-"  Torrie stopped mid sentence.

Trish couldn't even look at her sister. She sighed. "Yeah, sure."

<Jeff POV>

Yeah, Yeah I know I acted like a jerk towards Trish in that store, but she was right, she had no control over the situation. I honestly shouldn't have cheated on her sister with her. It's not her fault that Torrie came into the room. I really should apologize but my pride won't let me.

<No one POV>

As soon as he finished his thought he had already pulled up into his father's driveway. He sighed and looked into his rear view mirror and tried to convince himself. "I'm a new man, I am marrying my fiancée, and I'm never looking back." Jeff honestly couldn't believe it himself.

He got out the car and locked it up. He knocked on the door and to his surprise his brother opened the door.

"Whoa! Matt?" Jeff smiled and hugged him.

"Jeff? I haven't seen you in years. Whatcha been up to, besides getting engaged. You didn't even call me man." Matt pulled out of the hug and entered their father's home.

"Well I have my reasons, but I'm here now." Jeff smiled and Matt nodded. "So I'm assuming you met Candice." Matt nodded as Candice came out of the kitchen. She kissed him. "So what have you been up to?"

"I'm actually expecting a child, from my childhood sweetheart."

"Ames?" Jeff asked and Matt nodded. "That's sweet, I really miss her. I have to go see her, since I'm in town."

"You do, she will be pissed if she find out that you were in town as she didn't see you." Jeff chuckled, remembering how mad his red headed friend could get. "Actually, Amy just recently quit working as Torrie's assistant."

"Torrie? As in Torrie Wilson?" Jeff scratched his head. Matt nodded.

"Yeah, Trish and Torrie own a little fashion boutique not too far from here."

"Oh uh really? That's cool." Jeff replaying that moment that happened years ago. Matt never really knew the true story of the falling out between Trish, Torrie, and himself. No one ever spoke about it, and Jeff left Cameron, NC, almost immediately after the affair. Torrie distanced herself from their clique and whenever Trish was asked about the situation she always changed the subject.

"I think you should go visit them as well." Matt stated as Jeff contemplated the idea before shaking his head no. "Whatever happened between you guys need to cease and desist. You obviously moved on and we aren't the same people we once were." Jeff stared at his brother, while listening attentively to every word Matt said. "I just miss how times use to be."

"Matt, nothing will ever be the same." Jeff stated before leaving the room. Matt sat on his father's couch.

"I should have expected this, Jeff and his stubbornness." Matt sighed.

If you were a fan of this story, I'm so sorry I haven't updated this book in forever, but I kinda thought this story was gonna be a flop but some of my friends really wanted me to update this story, so this chapter was dedicated to tayiafauntleroy and tori9330
