Hello my lovelies,
If you've read this far things have taken a bit of a turn.
Yes Alaethiya was raped. I learned that during the time in which this story took place, a lot of times men would rape women anally as a form of degradation to their character or to humiliate them. Rape is not something that should be taken lightly.When I was younger I was raped and it was something I had to learn how to survive with because it becomes a daily battle. I want to show through my character Alaethiya that through anything, you can prevail and you are strong, that no matter what anyone does to you, your strength and heart can not be touched. I wanted to keep my story as realistic and truthful as possible.
This story is going to be very dark, but that sometimes is life. You have to take the light with the dark. Gabriel is not perfect, he never has been and never will be. As a General he has a responsibility to his Empire, that means traveling even if his heart tells him he shouldn't.
This story is primarily about pain, love, sacrifice and strength.
Sometimes in the process of life you will be hurt badly,
Sometimes you will hurt those you love badly.
I hope you guys continue to enjoy the story for what it is.
It's not rainbows and butterflies,
It's a world that we live in where there is hatred, greed, and evil, but as we know there is also light and love that can surpass any amount of despair.
