I miss her.
I freaking miss her.
So much.
I miss the way her arms hold me close to her, I miss sleeping next to her at night, I miss waking got up next to her, I miss her laugh, her smile, I just freaking miss her.
Why is this fair?
She wasn't happy with me. She thought she was in love with a teammate, she wanted to be with them.
That's why we broke up.
We were together for 6 years, the best six years of my life.
She moved out that same day we broke up, leaving me the house telling me that she wanted me to have the house.
It's been six months since we broke up, and I am still not over her. Still madly in love with her.
I walked into the coffee shop, one of our favorites, but now I come here alone.
I ordered my coffee and walked over to where you wait for your coffee waiting patiently. I looked at the door as it opened and I watched her walk in, she removed her sunglasses and pushed them onto her head.
I felt my heartbeat picked up at the sight of her. I looked away noticing that I was staring now.
Laura, who works here and is now my best friend, handed me my drink. She knows what happened between me and her.
Her name is Ashlyn Harris, she is on the national team for the United States and the Orlando Pride.
"How are you?" She asked me
"Was good until I saw her." I said
"I'm sorry girl. I can kick her ass if you want me too" She said which made me laugh
I shook my head and said "No I don't need you to do that"
"You sure? I sure as hell can" She said
"I am sure" I said
"Hey Laura" I heard Ashlyn say from behind me
"My cue to go" I said in a low voice
I turned around and faced her, she looks so beautiful, I thought.
"Hey" She said in that gentle voice of hers
"Hey" I said locking my eyes with her
"How are you?" She asked me, like she actually cares
"Doing bad but hey who cares. I have to go and I really didn't want to run into you. I hope you and her are happy. At least one of us can be happy." I said
I walked away before she could say anything, I felt tears come to my eyes as I made my way home.
Once I got inside I made my way to the couch and sat there.
Out of everyone I could have ran into why did it have to be her?
Why did it have to be the woman that I love so much and that I want to spend the rest of my life with.
I let the tears fall, letting them fall freely.
There was a knock on the door, I put my coffee down and wiped the tears away from my face. I walked over to the door opening it to see her.
Ashlyn.
"What do you want?" I asked her
"I didn't pursue anything with her. A couple days after we broke up I went over to her house to tell her how I feel and I kissed her. There was nothing. I thought I loved her. I thought that I wanted to be with her. But I don't. I didn't. I want nothing to do with her. She means nothing to me. She is just a teammate and a friend." She said
"Okay. Why are you telling me?" I asked her
"Because Y/N I love you. I didn't know how much I loved you until I lost you six months ago. I want you in my life. I want to be your wife. I want to be yours. I want to be your wife one day. I want to have kids with you. And I am so sorry for being such an asshole and an idiot. I thought about you every single day for the last six months. There were so many nights that I almost came over to your house at 1 in the morning to tell you. To tell you that I love you. I miss you. I'm so sorry" She said
I looked at her, tears I my eyes, both from hurt and the words she just said.
"And how do I know that you won't do this again?" I asked her
"I love you too much to lose you again. And I don't want to lose you again. I won't love any other woman more than I love you." She said
I looked at her for a good moment until I walked I to her arms wrapping my arms around her waist and nuzzle my head in her neck.
"Come back home please" I said
"Of course" She said and then I felt her place a kiss on my head
I pulled away from her next and placed my lips on hers.
