Ryuki- The Hidden Leaf Warrior

Chapter 1

"Alright guys, let's get our comrade back". I leaned off Shikamaru's back getting ready to run whenever my friends decided to. Only if I knew the hell we we're going to experience in a matter of time, I would've trained a little harder. But, before I continue this tale let me start you guys of at the beginning.

*Couple of Months ago*

     Local village boy Ryuki Yuzu, that's me, was often by myself growing up. My mom worked as a anbu for the hokage so she never really was home but, the times she was home it was the best time ever. We'd do all kinds of things like play tag all around the village, cook all kinds of foods, practice ninja techniques and justus, and every night I'd get told a bedtime story. After those bedtime stories my mom would kiss my forehead and say "You have an incredible power that everyone in the ninja world would die for, cherish it and own it and one day you'll be the greatest ninja the world has ever known Ryuki". I never really didn't put too much thought into those words at the time but it made me feel happy. As for my dad, he died when I was a kid during the rampage of the nine tailed fox. Since I had nothing to do inside of my own house most of the time, I would go hang out with my friend/neighbor Naruto Uzumaki. Now I don't know why but a lot of the adults would avoid this kid, call him bad names like demon child and whatnot, but it never made me look at him any type of way. Getting a little older he'd always come up with these stupid yet funny tricks to do on the village or it's people and I'm not gonna lie I'd join the kid, I mean why not? He'd also teach me this funny but cool justu he came up with himself. For example, this one justu called "Sexy Justu" which I have to say is really great and funny. Anyways, we'd do things like throw smoke bombs in shops, harass the people (even the hokage), and try....and that's a BIG try, to paint the hokages' faces on the big giant wall from time to time. However, we would always get caught. With each passing day I would see our top-tier ninjas walk through the village with their cool weapons and sweet headbands and think to myself "I wanna be those guys.....I wanna be the best just like them". Naruto and I went to this ninja school with our teacher Iruka-sensei. He was kinda cool in my opinion mainly because of that scar on his nose. Our other classmates were pretty cool themselves, we had Sakura and Ino, the class rivals, hinata, our obvious Naruto lover, Kiba and Shino the "pet/bug tamers", Shikamaru the "life is a drag" kinda guy, Choji the "Let's eat cause it's fun" boy and Sasuke the class cool emo kid. I never liked the guy, I guess you can say that's another thing me and Naruto share. We've worked our butts off this last year and came to the point where teams were being decided.

    "Okay Naruto, are you ready or what?" I patted his back with excitement. I really hoped that me and Naruto were on the team. He smiled brightly and responded "You bet Ryuki, my path to becoming hokage isn't gonna be so far once I've passed this stage". Naruto rubbed his stomach with a slight giggle "Is it me or is it time for lunch" he pouted asking this question. I knew this was his way into my pockets so I can buy food but I was kinda hungry myself. "Okay, how about after class I'll get us pork ramen?" Naruto leaned forward from his seat and yelled "I'm in!" From behind I noticed for the billionth time that Hinata was staring at Naruto. Now normally I would have said something to her like "Go talk to him already"and she'd respond by saying "I-I don't know...." Or something like that but, this time I felt it was none of my business to involve myself with her fantasies. "Oh Ryuki" called the blonde haired girl Ino who sat behind me. Now I'm not gonna sit here and lie I have a crush on her but every time I'd do something cool to impress her I would get a compliment, but she'd for some reason compare me to sasuke and run off to him and that ticked me off a little. Anyways I responded "What's cooking Ino?" She leaned over her seat and said "You think me and you will get put on the same team?" When I heard her ask me I was like "Ahhhhhh yeah, she want me!" But I kept that to myself. Instead I responded "I hope so, It would be so cool to be on the same team as you." Ino smirked a little and said "As long as that animal Sakura isn't on my team I couldn't care less." And just like that sakura turned around and they argued again. During the argument between the two I turned over and saw Naruto staring into sasuke's soul. I went next to Naruto and tapped his shoulder "Hey Naruto....I know you and sasuke aren't the coolest friends in the world but you mind taking a seat before Iruka-sensei blows up and not to mentions the girls in the classroom" I tilted my head slightly showing him the handful of girls screaming at Naruto to get away from sasuke but all he did was look at them and looked back at Sasuke. Before I could try to convince Naruto to move, one of our other classmates nudged Naruto forwards by accident causing the two boys......to lock lips.....and kiss. Talk about bad timing cause man o' man was Naruto in for one hell of a day after this. "Naruto!" I screamed because to be honest that was the only thing I could think to do at the time and after that....well the girls in the class, mainly Sakura and Ino, destroyed Naruto. After everything cooled down and we all took our seats Iruka-sensei looked in our direction and yelled "listen to this because I'll be announcing your official teams." "Aw Yeah!" I was excited for this day, If I was on the team with Naruto I wouldn't care who the other members were. Clearing his throat Iruka-sensei continued to speak "Okay class Let this be a reminder that once these teams are made your teams cannot be changed." I thought to myself "Great so we can't get a do-over." Iruka-sensei cleared his throat again and continued talking. "Starting With team 7.....we have Naruto Uzumaki." I held on to the edge of my seat hoping my name would get called "Come on, Say me..." I whispered to myself. "Sakura Haruno." With that Naruto cheered "Yes!" I was happy for him, I just Prayed that my name would be called next. Iruka-sensei then said the final name "And lastly.....Sasuke Uchiha." I never knew how bad hearing that name being called would hurt me and Naruto so much. I couldn't stand bear it so I stood from my seat and screamed "No!!" along with Naruto. Iruka-sensei screamed "Will you two be quiet!" ticked off he coughed and breathed calmly "Now for team 8 we have Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka." I leaned back on my chair and thought for a second "This could mean I'll be on the same team as Ino if I get lucky......" Slowly a smile starting growing on my face. Naruto turned from his seat and looked at me "What are you smiling about Ry?" I patted Naruto on the back and chuckled a little "Well I'm really sad that we aren't on teams Naruto, but now that all the other teams are formed this means I'll be set up with Ino." All Naruto did in response was throw his hands up in frustration and say "Great not only do we get separated but you get to be on the same squad as Ino and I'm stuck with Sasuke!" I chuckled a bit and responded "Well at least you have sakura." Iruka-sensei finally announced the final team "And lastly team 10 will be Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka, and Ryuki Yuzu." I was so stocked to hear my name in that group, so I stood from my seat and yelled "Yes!!" Everyone was staring at me but I didn't care because I'm on the same team as Ino. Iruka-sensei continued with the rest of the team and when he finished he placed down his clipboard and clapped his hands together "And that wraps up just about everyone's team for this year, it was an honor teaching each and everyone of you. Now each group will be assigned a leader. You all will be meeting these people the day after tomorrow. Until then, have fun." I got up from my seat and went to where Naruto was to tell him something real quick but by the looks of it, he was out of it. So I decided to go to where Ino was at and "Express" my happiness. "Hey Ino" I said trying to put on the most coolest look I can manage. She responded "Hey Ryuki, so I guess my thoughts were right huh?" I scratched my head and blushed "Yeah. You must be some kind of fortune teller or something." I thought to myself, well damn there goes my cool guy impression. Ino leaned forward a little and stuck he right hand out "Well since we're gonna be teammates, let's be friends. I mean we're gonna be around each other a lot so why not." I staggered for a bit I mean....did Ino just ask me to be her friend....I'm climbing the ladder already!? I shook out of my inner thoughts though and gently grabbed Ino's hand "Your right. Let's have tons of fun." To be honest I never knew she was this nice, I mean her fight with sakura would make anyone think that she's a very mean person. After that our other two team members came to us. I gotta say standing closer to each other I could all ready tell that we were gonna be one weird team. First to speak was Shikamaru, he sounded like he normally does, depressed about life and what not. "So I guess we're a team?" I responded "Looks that way. My name is Ryuki Yuzu." While I was talking to shikamaru and Choji I noticed Ino's face drop from happy to "whatever" and she just plainly said "I'll meet up with you guys whenever we see our sensei" then she walked away and out of the classroom. "Doesn't seem to fond of us I see." Choji said while eating his chips. I was extremely surprised at how much this boy could eat, I mean seriously he could eat a local ramen shop to the ground if he wanted. "So you guys wanna meet up by the park tomorrow or what?" Shikamaru turned around slowly and responded "Sure but don't expect me to be there on time." Then he walked away. Choji chuckled a bit and said "Don't worry, I'll make sure he gets there on time. Later." I smiled and waved "See ya Choji." After that I called naruto over "Hey naruto. We're leaving." Naruto turned from his seat "Oh yeah! It's Ramen time!" He ran towards me and we left the class.  I swear I never saw anyone as happy to eat ramen as naruto.

   After eating the best bowl of ramen I split ways with Naruto and went home. Normally I'd come home with my mom still working but I guess today was different. "Hey hon." I  kicked my shoes off and gave my mom a big hug and kissed her cheek. Listen I don't care how old I am, I'll kiss my mom on the cheek. "Your home today early.  What happened?" She smiled and said "Well I was told to take the rest of my day off since I just came back from a A rank mission." My mom was totally awesome, I mean going on an A rank mission is on top of the list danger and she just breezes through it like it's nothing "Whoa what?! Tell me what happened!" I yelled with excitement and sat near the table. Whenever mom was home I'd love to hear about her latest mission. They always gave me butterflies in my stomach because I'd dream of one day being like my mom. "Okay let me make some tea and then I'll tell ya." When we both we're settled she explained how her mission was to escort some rich brat to the village in the clouds from some high class rouge ninjas who were sent by this elite group of ninjas called the "Akastuki". Whenever she'd talk about them she would tell me to stay as far away from them as possible until I was strong enough to battle them. She kept the story going by telling me her sick moves and awesome justus that she did to the bad guys. After she ended the story I looked outside "Time sure do fly when your having fun right?" My mom said with a bright smile on her face. I smiled back and responded "Yeah....sure does." "Why don't you bath and get some rest. I know tomorrow you get to meet your instructor." She says while getting up and putting the cups in the sink. "Yeah. I can't believe I'm a classified ninja now." I took off my headband and started to look at it's symbol. My mom came over me and kissed my forehead "I'm very proud of your accomplishment my son. In no time you'll be the best ninja the world has ever seen. Keep up the good work and don't slack off okay?" I got up and bowed my head "Yes ma'am." She walked away and said "Now hurry on so you can get some sleep cause we both know your not the best when it comes to waking up early." I blushed a little "I-I'm working on it okay." I went off to the bathroom and got my bath ready and for bed. 

   After I finished my bath I went over to the living room to say goodnight to her. "Mom, I'm going to sleep!" I kinda regretted screaming once I heard "If you scream at me again you'll never wake up from your sleep!" After that It got quiet and then I heard "Goodnight sweetheart." I swear my mom is the scariest women I know. I ventured off to my bed and took the best sleep ever.

 When I woke up that morning I saw a note taped to the door. It said "I left some rice balls in the fridge for you just in case you were hungry. I had to leave really early today as usual so hopefully I'll see you sometime this week. I love you sweetheart and tell that Ino girl I said hi will ya. I can see why you like her." When I went over the last part of that letter I blushed so hard, Like how did she know I liked Ino! I never told her this! Anyways I went to take my morning bath and then put my clothes on. A white shirt with one long sleeve and the other gone with black pants and black shoes. I had my usual slick black hair because I'm too lazy to ever do it and grabbed my sword that was previously my father's. It had our clan's last name engraved on it "Yuzu"with a tigers' head next to it representing our clans' image. "Alright time to get a move on." I grabbed my stuff went out my door. I don't know why but almost everyday in our village was basically a sunny day and to be honest I'm happy it was. I went to the flower shop that Ino family owned to meet up with her first. As I walked around the corner I saw Ino talking to a customer and giving her flowers that resembled roses. After that the lady waved to Ino and left and as Ino turned around she saw me walking "Hey ryuki!" She waved and I waved back "Hey Ino!" I approached her and said "So your ready?" She looked around for a couple of seconds and then yelled "Mom! Dad! I'm leaving!" After a few seconds I heard "Okay dear. Have fun." As she came from around the counter I asked "So how's business?" She walked with me to meet up with shikamaru and choji and said "It's actually pretty great. Sales went up in the last past month. So you know where we have to all meet our Sensei at?" I shrugged my shoulder and replied "Supposed to be at a bar-b-que spot near the ramen shop" After about 5 minutes of walking we came across Choji and Shikamaru talking near the spot. "Took you guys long enough" Shikamaru said. We all came to wait at that spot for an extra 5 minutes with little chatter and the sound of choji chewing on some chips. Before I got to say something Someone approached us with a cigarette in his hand. He coughed and said "So....Your my kids huh?"

       This is kinda my branch off from my other story. I felt like making it just to get your guys opinion on which one is better. Just comment and/or let me know personally which one you like better. Thanks for reading and stay tuned cause there's more to come.
