"Do you have to leave?" I ask whining at August. "Yeah. I'm sorry my mom wants to take me school shopping before all the good stuff is gone. You can come though!!" August says happily. "Ugh let me ask." I say dragging myself off the couch.
As I walk into my moms room I can tell that it's going to be a good day. My mom was smiling and humming to some old school song nobody sang/ knew anymore. "Hey mom can I go shopping with August and her mom?" I ask in the sweetest voice I can make. "Yeah sure go ahead." She says smiling. "Thanks. Um I'll text you when I'm on my way home." "Wait Macenzie. Here's some money to get some school stuff. Get the good stuff before its gone." She says handing me some money. "Love you mom." "Love you too. Have fun!" Mom yelled as I ran down the stairs.
"She said yes." I said walking into the living room. " Ahh thank god. Get ready so we can go!" She yelled rushing me out of the living room, up the stairs and into my room.
