A Cold Love (a Jelsa fanfic)

Chapter 22

                                                             Elsa's P.o.V

I open my eyes to find myself floating in the air, Jack kissed me, he saved me.  

"Elsa." a voice says.  I look around but I can't move my head, only my eyes.  "Remember, Elsa.  That is the way to fully transform.  Remember." the voice says.  I think about the day of the great thaw.  The day I hugged my sister again.  I remember when we were younger and would play with my powers.  The thoughts make me smile.

The more I remember, the happier I get.  I feel the bad being lifted out of me.  There is a bright light that grows above me.  Suddenly, light goes shooting out, but I stay there unable to move.  The glow above me lessens, then my arms go outstretched I feel a beam of light warming me up.  A weight falls around my neck.

"The pendant is important." the voice says. "I will explain soon."  That's when my eyes close and I feel myself fall.  I'm caught by something and carried over to a couch.  They lay me down and I open my eyes.  Jack sits beside me, holding my hand.

"Jack it's okay." I say sitting up.  That's when I hear gasps, I look at the others and smile, but they don't see me.  I look down and see me, no my body.

"What?" I say. "No no no no!  I can't leave, I have people to take care of!"  I see Jack yelling, then crying.  Jack, the strongest person I know, crying over my body.  I cover my mouth with my hand, tears falling at the sight.

"Elsa.." the voice says.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"I am the Man in the Moon.  I don't have much time to explain.  Jack is about to bring you back, but you will be different.  I see in your mind you have too many things to do, too many people to care for to be a Guardian, but I can't bring you back without a purpose.  You will be immortal now, Elsa.  You will be the same as you were before, but will live normally until it is your time to go.  When you come of that age, and only then, will you become a Guardian where you will protect the children with the power of love.  I will only speak to you again to tell you who you are when that time comes.  Be strong, Elsa."

"Wait!  I'm going back!?" I ask.  I see a dome form around my body and Jack.  I'm lifted off of my feet and put back into my body, where I fall unconscious.

I breathe in, my eyes flutter open.  

"Elsa!" Jack exclaims.  He hugs me tightly, it hurts only a little but I forget about the pain, I'm back.  

"Jack!" I exclaim softly. When we pull apart I ask what I've been thinking ever since I saw him over my body. "Jack, are you crying?" 

"I thought I lost you forever.  I can't believe you're back." he says hugging me again. " And don't expect to see me like this ever again."  I laugh and start crying.  I sniffle and Jack pulls away.  He cups my face with his hand and wipes away the tears, then he kisses me.  

He stops to look at the others and so do I.  The Guardians stand there smiling at us.  Anna is clutching Kristoff, she looks like she's about to burst into tears.  I motion her to come over, she runs over and hugs me tightly.  I hold her as the tears fall from my eyes.  Anna turns to Jack.

"Jack, you saved her!" she says hugging him. "Thank you." she whispers.

"Thanks for the advice." he replies.  Anna hugs me again.

"I'm so happy you're back." she says.

I laugh,"I'm not just back."  Anna pulls away and looks at me strangely.

"What?" she asks.

"I'm...I'm immortal." I say.  Everybody stares at me, shocked. "The Man in the Moon talked to me.  He said that I would live the rest of my life until the day I die, then he would make me like you all."

"That means..." Jack says.

"Yes." I conform, smiling.  He smiles wide, he hugs me again.

"Wait, where's Pitch?" I ask.  Jack sits up.

"Well, I don't know what happened but after I kissed you you were in this ray of light that grew brighter.  Eventually it started shooting rays of light and they hit Pitch.  Then he just, disappeared." he says.  I look over at the others, they nod in agreement.  I sigh out of relief, that's when pain stabs through my side.

I cry out and fall.  I clutch my side and squeeze my eyes shut.

"Elsa!" Jack exclaims.  He lifts me up and flies me to another room where he lays me down on something soft, my bed.  

"My rib." I say in pain. "It's broken but Pitch, ooh, put it in place and wrapped cloth around it.  I don't know what, ahh, what's wrong with it."  North walks in and squats down beside me.  

"I'll get scissors." Jack says getting up.  He comes back and hands them to North.

"Sorry about this," North says as he cuts open the side of my dress.  I laugh.

"It's fine, I can, ahh, mend it." I say.  He cuts off the cloth and examines my side.

"Ahh, I know what happened here." he says.

"What?" I ask.  He looks me in the eye.

"Pitch is a terrible doctor." he says.  I laugh which shoots pain through my side, I wince. "Lucky for you, I know what to do here.  It's very easy." he says.

"Do what you need to." I say.

"It will hurt, but like Pitch, I need to move it back into place." he says.  I nod.  Jack walks to the other side and takes my hand.

"Ready?" North asks.  I nod.  He puts one finger one each piece of the broken rib.  It already hurts, I squeeze Jack's hand.  North pushes and moves his fingers until it's back in place.  The pain is excruciating.  I cry out and squeeze Jack's hand tightly.  There is a relief when it's back in place.  

North wraps some cloth around it, tighter than Pitch, then ties it off.

"You probably need a day or two of bed rest.  I think it would be best if you stay with me until you're healed enough." he says.

"I'll stay with her." Jack says.

"Very well, we should leave soon.  Pack a couple days worth of cloths in case." North says walking out.

"Let's get started." Jack says.

Hai, I'm actually kinda sad because now I have like no idea what to write.  Like she has to overcome her fear of being beaten but other than that I have no idea what I'm going to write.  Ugh, okay. Read/Write on! <3
