With every breath I take, I feel the darkness bursting in and out of my chest. The gut twisting anxiety torments my mind, embracing and latching on to my fears, shortening my breath. Nobody cares. Nobody loves you. Every time you talk to them they roll their eyes. You don't have to see it. you can feel the flutter of their eyelashes through the phone screen, the breeze across your face as they sigh. you're annoying. You pluck up the courage to speak, to crack a joke, only to be drowned out by the chatter of others around you. They can't hear you. You try and make friends, only to have sharp looks pierce your words like swords. your voice fades away.
