I looked at myself in the mirror and bit my lip. I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. I was in my shield attire but I felt as though the shield was just a back up for me. Like they were there to protect me.Today was the day I took on AJ for the title. It was a no disqualifications match meaning she couldn't pull her normal shenanigans. Like staying out of the ring for count out.
But it also meant someone can interfere and I really don't want that because it's going to be hard enough to deal with AJ. Whenever her title is on the line she pulls some magic out of a hat and clings to it for dear life.
Tamina is a powerhouse. That meant if she were to interupt, she could do some damage. Am I over analysing this? no I'm not. I have to be ready for anything.
"Indigo?" I turned and Seth wrapped his arms around my waist
"Hey" I smiled and he kissed my nose. I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder
"What's wrong?" he asked
"Nothing" I sighed again
"Are you thinking about tonight?" he guessed. I nodded my head and I felt his lips on my neck. "Your going to do fine"
"What if I don't?" I whispered
"Then there's always next time" he chuckled "even if you lose it's not going to change anyone's perspective on you"
"You sweet talker" I rolled my eyes. But he did make me feel better. A lot better.
"There she is" Dean smiled
"Hello" Roman did a mini bow and I laughed at him. They accompanied me to the ring but had to stay at the announcers table. AJ came skipping out and I was surprised Tamina wasn't with her. I quickly did a one over to see if she was trying to ambush me.
The bell rang and AJ jumped back a bit. She flattened out her hair and smiled at me. I took a wary step back and watched her for a minute. It looked like she was doing the same.
She finally ran at me and I side stepped her. She banged into the turnbuckle and fell to the ground. I pulled her up and smacked her across the face. She dropped to the floor and I tugged on one of my gloves.
I elbow dropped but she rolled out of the way. A sharp pain ran up my arm and then she jumped on my knee. I huffed and kicked her away with my other leg. She fell back and I got a frog splash on her.
I looked to the left and bit my lip. Should I? I chuckled and slid out of the ring. Seth looked at me confused. And then I grabbed the steel chair. They understood. I got in after throwing the chair in and picked it back in.
AJ saw it in my hand and tried to scramble outside of the ring. But she wasn't quick enough. I slammed it on her back and she cried out in pain.
I love no disqualification matches!
I threw the chair to the side and bounced off the ropes and gave her a belly to belly. I pulled her up an gave her a pile driver. I cracked my knuckles and ran a hand through my hair. I smiled at the crowd and climbed to the top rope.
"No!" she shrieked. But I landed the moon sault perfectly and pulled her up for a trouble in paradise. Then I saw it.
The tattoo.
On the back of her neck she had the date she won the divas title tattooed there. She stumbled around a bit and I know that she was trying her hardest to et back to her normal self
"P-please" she stuttered. I squeezed my eyes shut and ignored the screaming crowds. I finally opened them and huffed. Tamina came running out as I exited the ring. Roman smiled at me. Probably because he thought I was getting a steel chair again or something.
