Chapter 3: Riley Faith

Richard's POV:
It's already 11:47pm at nandito pa kami sa set. We're waiting for the rain to stop pero ayaw tumigil. Dawn and I are in our tent and we're just resting. We both had a long day.

Direct: Sige, I think that'll be a wrap for today. Ayaw tumigil ang ulan eh. Bukas at 12pm I wanna have everyone here for a meeting. I'll let you sleep in tonight.

Everyone left right away. We were so tired.

Richard: Aalis na ako.. Are you waiting for your ride?
Dawn: Oo. I'm just waiting for my driver.
Richard: I'll drive you home.
Dawn: Okay lang. My driver's on his way.
Richard: Sige, I'll wait with you.

We sat on the curb beside my car. It was so peaceful. The sound of crickets chirping and we just sat there gazing at the stars. Then Dawn got a phone call.

Dawn: Hello? Kuya, saan na po ba kayo?
Driver: Ma'am, nasira yung kotse. Inaayos ko na pero maaaring tumagal.
Dawn: Pano ba yan kuya! 12:20 na! Okay sige kuya mag taxi nalang ako.
Driver: Sige, pasenya ulit ma'am. Ingat po.
Dawn: Okay lang kuya, ingat ka din.
Richard: Hahatid na kita.
Dawn: Hindi, okay lang. Mag taxi nalang ako.
Richard: Gabing-gabi na Dawn. Hahatid na kita.
Dawn: Gomz, okay lang. Kaya ko na. Sige, umuwi ka nalang.
Richard: You never changed, haven't you?
Dawn: Ano ka ba? Anong ibig mong sabihin?
Richard: You're still so hard headed. Listen, let me drive you home. Are you scared of me?
Dawn: Ako? Takot sayo? *laughs*
Richard: Oh so if you're not scared, let me drive you home.
Dawn: Fine.

Score. I feel like she doesn't wanna ride with me because she might feel a little awkward. Well, so do I but I can't just leave her there. I opened the door for her.

Dawn: Ako lang.
Richard: Okay ka lang.
Dawn: Oo, salamat ha.
Richard: Ikaw pa.
Dawn: Kamusta na si Lucy?
Richard: Okay naman siya.

It was silent in the car after that. I wanna tell her but I'm not too sure if she'll react the way I want her to.

Richard: Umm.. I'm not sure if wanna tell you this but... I kinda need advice.
Dawn: Oh siyempre. Ano yan?
Richard: Eh kasi... Si Lucy... She wants to have another baby.
Dawn: Oh.. Congratulations!
Richard: Wala pa
Dawn: I know, pero are you trying?
Richard: Yeah, we've been trying for almost a year now.
Dawn: How active are you guys?
Richard: Well, almost everyday.
Dawn: At wala pa?
Richard: Hindi eh.
Dawn: Don't give up. It took me 7 years to conceive Jacobo. Ayisha came unexpectedly. So, don't give up.
Richard: Salamat sa advice. We we're actually talking about giving up but now that I spoke to you about it, I won't. I won't stop until I give her another baby.
Dawn: Good for you Gomz.

Dawn's POV:
It's nice how they're trying to have another baby. I didn't wanna mention the age gap of Juliana and their baby. But if that's what they want, there's no stopping them.

Dawn: Boy or girl ang gusto niyo?
Richard: Gusto ko... another girl.
Dawn: Another? Bakit?
Richard: Para may kasama si Juliana when she goes shopping and they'll have the same interests so they could do it together.
Dawn: Ah... Okay. At si Lucy?
Richard: Gusto niya... Boy.
Dawn: Kung boy, what will you name him?
Richard: Maybe, Lukas. After Lucy.
Dawn: Aw, cute naman. At kung girl?
Richard: Um... uhh

It seems like he doesn't wanna say...

Richard: Um... Riley Faith.
Dawn: Oh...

*Flashbacks
Doctor: Ms Dawn, you're pregnant with a baby girl. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Gomez.
Dawn: Babe, makaka-baby na kami!
Richard: *kisses Dawn on the forehead* Ang swerte ko talaga babe!

4 months later:
*Dawn is lying on Richard's whiled they both feel their baby girl kicking*
Dawn: Babe, ano ba ang pangalan nang baby namin?
Richard: Gusto ko, starts with R para kay Rachel. At yung 2nd name niya starts with F for Frank.
Dawn: Talino naman nang boyfriend ko!
Richard: Siyempre babe!
Dawn: Oh, what about Rachelle?
Richard: Mmm... Could be an option.
Dawn: Raelyn?
Richard: Mmm.... Walang ring
Dawn: Um... What about... Rianna?
Richard: Mm... *shakes his head* ALAM KO NA! Riley!
Dawn: I like that one babe!
Richard: Sige, sige! Riley... Anong second name niya?
Dawn: Francesca?
Richard: Riley Francesca *shakes his head*
Dawn: Fiona?
Richard: Riley Fiona? *shakes his head*
Dawn: Faith?
Richard: Riley Faith? Riley Faith. Riley Faith. Perfect!
*both laugh*
Dawn: Ah, excited na ako babe!
Richard: Ako din babe!
Dawn: You're gonna be a wonderful father to our kids.
Richard: You're gonna be a wonder father to our children and I can't wait to officially be your husband!

2 months later...
Dawn: BAKIT RICHARD? AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?
Richard: BABE, I WAS DRUNK. I WAS A MISTAKE.
Dawn: DRUNK? YOU WERE DRUNK? THAT'S YOUR EXCUSE? YOU HAD FUCKING SEX WITH GRETCHEN 3 TIMES WHILE YOU WERE IN TAGAYTAY.
Richard: How did you find out?
Dawn: IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER HOW I FOUND OUT RICHARD.
Richard: Look, I'm sorry okay? You need to calm down. Masama yun sa baby namin. *grabs Dawn's arm*
Dawn: DONNT YOU DARE TOUCH ME. I DON'T NEED YOU. RILEY FAITH AND I CAN LIVE ON OUT OWN WITH YOUR BULLSHIT. YOU COULD GO FUCK GRETCHEN SOME MORE.
Richard: Dawn, look, you're the one I wanna marry
Dawn: Mahal mo na siya?
Richard: ...
Dawn: If you even have to think ab--
Richard: I don't have to think about it. Dawn your the one I love.
Dawn: Hindi yun yung question ko. MAHAL MO BA SI GRETCHEN?
Richard: Di ko alam.
Dawn: Anong hindi no alam?
Richard: Hindi k--
Dawn: *SCREAMS* ANG SAKIT
Richard: Dawn? DAWN? WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Dawn: ANG SAKIT NANG TIYAN KO
Richard: Hold on *carries her* Dadalhin kita sa hospital.

***Hospital***
Doctor: She's under observation na, Mr Gomez.
Richard: What happened to my girlfriend doc?
Doctor: Stress. Has she been stressing out on something lately.
Richard: Yes...
Doctor: Richard, you know that'a not god for her.
Richard: O po. Kamusta na si baby, okay lang siya?
Doctor: I'm so sorry Richard, pero... Your girlfriend had a miscarriage. She unfortunately lost the baby.
Richard: HINDI! IMPOSSIBLE! DOC, TELL ME MY BABY'S STILL ALIVE. TELL ME OUR DAUGHTER IS STILL ALIVE. DOCTOR!
Doctor: I'm so sorry Richard...
Richard: *Punches the wall until his knuckles bleed.*
Doctor: Nurse! Nurse!

Richard was brought to clean up the wounds on his knuckles.

The next day...
Richard: Dawn
Dawn: Why are you still here? You should go to your girlfriend Gretchen, she'll give you a baby. *sobbing*
Richard: Dawn, Gretchen isn't my girlfriend. I don't wanna have a baby with her. I wanna have a baby with you.
Dawn: HINDI NA PWEDE DEBA? DAHIL SA'YO PATAY NA SI RILEY FAITH. DAHIL SA'YO!
Richard: *hugs Dawn while she's punching his arm.*
Dawn: I think you should leave...
Richard: Ano?
Dawn: Please, leave.
Richard: Dawn, give me another chance to show you how much I love you.
Dawn: Richard... You only had one chance... But you threw that away. Along with our future together... Please... Just go... I never wanna see you again.
Richard: Before I go, I want you to know that I love you, more than anything in the world. You are my life. Dawn, I love you so much and I know you do too.
Dawn: It's too much Richard... I can't share you with Gretchen.
Richard: I love you.

They make out for a while.

Dawn: Please go now. *crying even more*
Richard: *crying as well. Opens the door and leaves.*
Dawn: *sobbing*
