Aberration

"What the hell are you talking about man? Is this some kind of joke?" Seth shouted.

"No... What's wrong with you, man? I'm not joking... You don't have any siblings that I know of." Replied Joseph calmly.

"You freakin' idiot... Here, look at these pictures." Seth said, taking out his phone to show the pictures of his sister to Joseph but there were none. All the pictures of Amelia were not there anymore or did not have her in the picture, even her contact was not there in his phone. Seth moved his hand through his hair in anxiety, trying to understand what was actually going on.

He tried to recall the moment that his sister jumped out of the window. Where did she go? He was so consumed by the presence in the garden that he did not think about his sister. Soon Seth remembered that that was a dream, it must have been, as he woke up in his bed this morning. When did the dream begin? He could not
remember falling asleep, the last time he remembered shutting his eyes was when he saw that the house was always there, in the empty plot and that seemed like days ago.

This was all too much too take in for him. He needed to figure this out. Suddenly, Seth sensed an agonising pain in his head. He felt himself drop down to the ground and vaguely saw Joseph leap to try to catch him. His vision blurred as he hit himself on the pavement.

Seth saw blurred visions of the time he had spent with his family, everyone seemed happy, everything was lively, all of this appeared too real. The vision became totally blurred for a few moments and as it cleared, Seth was standing inside the house. He walked around the house, not being able to distinguish dreams from reality anymore. He looked out of a window and saw Amelia in the garden, she looked at him and gave him the most innocent smile that anyone could ever give.

"Seth, come on over here..." She said, still smiling.

Seth walked out of the house and went over to the place where Amelia was standing.

Just as he reached there, he saw Amelia lying dead in the lush, green garden where grasses were swaying in the wind ever so slightly as if they were signifying the gloomy moment. Seth ran over to her, put her head on his lap and tried to wake her up as if he believed that she was sleeping and couldn't accept the harsh truth of her death.

"Amelia! Amelia! Wake up! Amelia! No.... No! No!" Seth screamed, looking at the sky as he broke into tears, unable to express his pain and agony.

The sight of Amelia blurred away slowly and gave way to darkness, he heard a distant voice.

"Seth! Seth! Hey! Wake up! Come on, man! Seth!" Joseph's voice echoed through the darkness surrounding his eyes.

Seth grunted and sobbed as he woke up and saw Joseph and his parents standing next to him as he was lying on the sofa in Joseph's house.

"What happened, Seth?" Asked Joseph's father.

"I Just... Nothing... Nothing..." Replied Seth in a low tone.

"Are you feeling okay?" Inquired Joseph's mother, putting her hand on his shoulder as he sat up.

"Yeah... Yes." Said Seth, still looking around, confused as if he still didn't believe that he was back in reality.
