A few months went by. Andy and his girlfriend were still all lovey-dovey and I was back with Ashley, why not! I loved him, didn't I? Andy apparently 'was in love' with Jessica which I just hated, I'm not jealous... I just don't like Jessica.
The press had already released that Ashley and I were together and although there was a large amount of overwhelming love and support, we still had the occasional comment on our age difference. We chose to ignore those comments.
All four of us were sitting on the couch, in complete silence not saying a word to each other. Andy sat on an armchair with Jessica on his lap, I was leaning on Ashley's shoulder and playing with his fingers. Awkward sighs were released and maybe a dirty look Jessica would throw from across the room.
"Do you guys want to watch a mo-" I stuttered, grinning at Andy. Andy and I had grown distant and only exchanged smiles and quick greetings from across the room. I knew what Jessica was doing to him but I had to be supportive of their relationship, I wasn't prepared to loose Andy over this.
"No!" She confidently yelled, "Andy and I are going out today... Aren't we Andy" She gritted her teeth and stared down at him.
"Are we?" He laughed, tapping her leg. She got up and put her hands on her hips like the spoilt brat she was.
"You are seriously no help Andy," Jessica groaned stomping her pretty little high heels on my laminate floor.
"You better not scuff Sky's floor!" My boyfriend laughed "she paid a lot for that," I rolled my eyes but I secretly agreed. One scratch and I would have killed her! The money to furnish the apartment came out of my bank account, my hard earned money! I wasn't prepared to put my student loan on pause to pay for new flooring because of this brat.
"Seriously, you will be paying for my flooring. And I will make sure it didn't come out of daddy's credit card, or Andy's." I raised an eyebrow. Andy scoffed, amused by my comment. He quickly pulled a straight face as Jessica turned around at him and looked at him in disgust.
"Don't look at him like that." Ashley stood up, "he only finds Skyler's joke funny, after all, he is her best friend." Yes, Ashley! I nodded. Jessica groaned and went to sit back down onto Andy but he stood up, grabbed his keys and put on some shoes.
"Come on then, you said we were going out," Andy looked around at Jessica. She frowned.
"I just want to stay in now, tell your... friends to leave so we can have time to ourselves for once!" I gasped, not only did she insult me, she insulted Ashley too. The way she looked at us as she said 'friends' churned my insides.
"Listen here you entitled brat, I suggest you stop complaining because I am the one that makes sure this house is clean, I am the one that paid for the flooring you scratched with your cheap heels and I am the one that will be there for Andy when you're long gone. So I suggest you stop complaining," I growled, standing up slowly, yes I was short and no I wasn't afraid of her.
"How dare you speak down to me like that!" She stood too, looking at me with an evil glint in her emerald green eyes "Andy... Do something!"
Instead, Andy stood at the door, wide-eyed and frozen in fear. He shrugged his shoulders and placed his keys gently on the table near the door.
"He won't do jack shit, alright? I am the woman of this household and I always have been, in fact, you will never be a part of this family because of neither me or Ashley like you, and we never had before," I spat.
"Andy! Why aren't you saying anything!" Andy was caught in a trance, glaring at her "you're picking her over me? I mean look at her, what a low life-" Andy raised a finger and closed his eyes.
"You do not talk about my best friend like that..." His voice was deep and billowy.
"Well she's been talking about your girlfriend like that, and who's your girlfriend again? Me! That's right, me! So Andy, do something or I'm walking out that door right now!" She stomped her foot again, I watched as a black skid mark stained my floor. I inhaled sharply, Ashley gasped and Andy froze.
"You know what... I apologise. You can stay for one more night," I smiled, the boys couldn't help but smile. They knew exactly what I was doing.
Night fell upon the apartment and the happy couple were asleep. I snuck into their bedroom, took every pair of Jessica's heels and brung them to the living room where Ashley and I sat giggling with childish intentions. I took one pair, he took the other. We snapped the heels of off every pair we had, scuffed the polished paint, took out the insides and removed fabric from the outside. Leaving the mess on top of the two scuffs on the floor she made.
We woke up Andy and retreated to a nearby hotel. She was in the apartment, left to clean her heels and leave money for my new flooring. It was a win-win situation. I get a romatic evening with Ashley alone and I get new flooring, all for the price for a bit of fun.
Of course, Jessica left Andy and I was the one left to look after him. As. Per. Usual.
