Having now left the facility, we find our group following katie to a location known as the shack
Katie: hey Simon thanks back there...
Simon: yeah no problem katie but we need some explanations
Jack: yeah because honestly this is insane
Sara: yeah one of my fingers were broken because of this!
Katie: ok ok so I'm not a full blown hunter like Simon, I'm an associate for them, our goal is to stop evil like the ether foundation and other villains.
Simon: damm a cutie and a hero
Katie: stop this is serious simon
Jack takes simon to the side
Jack: hey look cool it with all the flirting ok, we don't even know if we can trust this girl, she was just a part of a group that tried to kill us man
Simon: ok I understand that but I can see good in her I just have this feeling.
Jack: look man I'm your best friend and I just don't want to see you die, you're like a brother to me and I would take a bullet for you anyday man so please just be careful.
They regroup with katie and sara but katie seem like she sensed something suspicious
Katie: were you two talking about me or something?
Jack: and what if we were?
Katie: do you have a problem with me jack?
Jack: yes I do, how do we know we can trust you? For all we know you could be playing us clearly you aren't against betrayal, you say it's your job to protect simon but I just don't buy it we would be safer without you and I could protect simon.
Katie: you protect him the person who got captured, the person who broke out of restraints undetected but lost to a fucking arrow can protect simon don't make me laugh you would be the first to die jack.
For the next hour everyone is quiet when suddenly they see a small girl in the road
Simon: hey where's your parents little one?
The little girl doesn't respond but katie and the others hear a ticking sound
Sara: brother! Get away from her
Katie: simon move back now!
Simon steps back as katie shoots the kid with an arrow within a few seconds the child explodes
Simon: what the fuck was that!
Katie: shit someone is on our trail or something we need to move now, hurry the fuck up and move!
Jack: simon are you ok?
Simon: yeah man but a kid just blew up I have like no words
They keep moving until eventually they are faced by several cloaked figures eventually one of them speaks up
????: welcome strangers you have walked into our territory state your purpose now or die
As the group observes the cloaked figures they notice they all have rifles
Katie: we are just trying to make it to a certain place
The cloaked figures look at each other before taking there guns out and one of them shoots at simon, but jack pushes him out the way and takes the bullet for him
Simon: jack no!
