I hold onto my beautiful mate as she lays unconscious. Barri rushed to inform me that Carita was unwell.

Carita has been unconscious for over an hour. This vision is rather intense compared to previous ones.

My fingers brush against her silky blonde hair. I push away from strands behind her ear. I lay besides her in our bed. My Beast and I feel content beside our mate. We hope that she wakes up soon to tell us of her vision.

Suddenly, her eyes begin to flutter open. I look into her beautiful emerald colored eyes. I sigh in relief as she begins to regain consciousness. She looks at me, and then around the room. Her tiered gaze returns to me.

"Blyn? When did I return to our bedroom? I remember that I was having tea," said Carita. Her voice is hoarse yet soft.

"You collapsed while having a vision. Your mother, Estrellia, Azalea and Sirenna brought you here. They remained by your side until I came," I tell her.

She smiles at me as she moves closer to my side. "I must have had a rather long vision then. Estrellia and I would move mother to a more comfortable place," she says.

Growing up with Celienette must have prepared Carita for her own visions. "Are you able to distinguish the length of a vision?"

She shakes her head as she holds onto my shirt. "No and I cannot tell how much time as passed here".

It is rather interesting that Carita cannot fell time. Does time pass differently while she is in a vision?  Does time pass during a vision?

Carita crawls in bed to move closer. She sits on my lap and squirms until she is comfortable. I sit up against the headboard. My arms wrap around her waist. Carita rests her head on my chest. I grab the blanket and cover her as best as I can.

"How do you visions work my dove?" I ask.

She hums as she plays with the buttons on my shirt. "The vision pulls me away from reality, and I pass through a tunnel until I reach the vision".

I have imagined what it is like for Carita during her visions. Yet, I never thought that is what she experiences in order to reach a vision.

Carita continues her explanation, "When I am in a vision I am simply an observer. I see and hear things as if I am there. The people in the vision cannot see or hear me".

My fingers curl around a long stand of her hair. "After we mated my visions have become clearer. I am able to see more than I have before. Also, this was the longest vision I have ever had," she tells me.

Carita may not be able to interact during a vision, so that the future is not altered. She could alter the future based on her actions, but that could be after she has time to process what she has seen.

"When I leave a vision my sight becomes blurry. Then, the force pushes me out of the tunnel until I return to reality," she explains.

"What was your vision about?" I question.

If her vision lasted this long, then it must be important. I want to know what she saw and heard in her vision. Hopefully, it will have useful information about the Order.

"We were traveling to another land to meet with someone you know. Based off the cold climate and snow I believe we were in the Northlands," said Carita.

The Northlands? Why would we travel to the Northlands? Aside from the King I have one trust ally that lives there.

"I have a trusted ally named Ryker. He was unable to attend the Summit" I said.

Ryker is a trust ally of King Balthazar of the Northlands. I believe they are cousins, but I am not certain. He is a good man and quite powerful. If we were seeking him it would have to be related to the Order.

It is a shame he is not attending the Summit. We typically see one another once the meetings are over. We meet at the pub and enjoy a drink or two. It is rather unfortunate he is not here. We could have found him today and questioned him.

"Yes, it my vision we were traveling after the Summit. We were hoping that he would have insight about the situation with the Order," says Carita.

"Ryker is one of the few allies that King Balthazar trusts. He may know more about the underground of the realm," I said.

Ryker was sent on a mission by the King. This particular mission he was unable to discuss. In that case I believe it is about the realms underworld.

"Why do you not know of the realm's underworld?" Questions Carita.

"The Emerald Isle is cast away from the remainder of the realm. However, I do know of well known organizations in the underworld," I tell her.

Carita raises an eyebrow, "Then do you have knowledge of these organizations? They may have some information about the Order".

"I have several spies in each of these organizations. They report back to me on a regular basis. So far, no intel about the Order was given to me".

After I found out this Order was after Carita I contacted my spies. They did not have any useful information. My spies reported to me prior to leaving the Emerald Isle for the Summit. Unfortunately, they had no new information for me.

"That is understandable, and we may have not known about them if mother did not have a vision," she says.

"Yes you are right my dove," I say.

Yes if Celienette did not have a vision we would have been unaware of the Order. These bastards may have been able to take my mate. Especially, when one of their own managed to get on my land.

I pray that I will never know what it is like to have Carita taken. She was almost taken from me once. That day I became outraged with anger. If Carita did not come to the dungeon my Beast would been our for blood.

"Blyn stop worrying when nothing can be done now," said Carita.

My train of thought ends when I hear her voice. I look into her eyes, and she offers me a soft smile. My very being feels at ease by her simple gesture.

"I suppose there is no use to worry so when all is unclear" I say.

"Exactly my love. Now that I am awake I feel rather famished," she said.

I look out the window to see the sun has set. It should be close to dinner time. Our family and friends should be preparing to attend dinner. They are most likely worried about Carita.

She collapsed suddenly and was unconscious. Her vision lasted a rather long time. Oh! I also forgot to inform them that she woke.

"Shall we freshen up and go downstairs for dinner?" I suggest.

"Yes food sounds lovely! Also, I am certain my mother is worried sick," said Carita.

She places a kiss on my forehead, and then I peck her lips. Carita giggles softly as she releases her hold on me. She steps out of bed, and I follow behind her.

There may be a threat against my wife, but she is safe now. I will do anything within my power to protect her.
