The big day has come and I am gonna marry the man of my dreams alongside our beautiful daughter Presley.
"Wake up sweetheart, it's your day" my mom said coming in holding Presley. She must have let me sleep in and fed Presley this morning."Just 5 more minutes" I said rolling over before it hit me what she meant.
"IT'S MY WEDDING DAY!!!!" I said jumping out of bed.
"I believe I just said that." she laughed and handed me Presley.
"Good morning beautiful" I said as I leaned down and kissed Presley all over the face making her giggle.
Evan had already gotten up and went over to his best friend Drew's place to get ready with all the rest of the guys.
It is so weird to think about how much my life has changed over the past year and a half. I almost fell for the wrong twin, my boyfriend left for basic while I find out I'm pregnant, then he comes back we get angaged, he leaves again, I have Presley, he comes back home and now we are getting married, my life has been one emotional rollercoaster.
"So the weather is perfect, you're gonna look perfect, the wedding is gonna be perfect, it's just gonna be a perfect day" Claire said coming upstairs with our friend Paige who is a cosmetologist and was gonna make us all look beautiful!
"I sure hope so, I've worked my ass off to make this day nothing short of perfect" I said as I fed Presley her baby food.
"Alright let's start with your bridesmaids hair and makeup and work our way to yours, that way yours has less chance of getting messed up is that ok?" Paige asked I agreed and she got to work.
Four longs hours later and we all had our hair and makeup done now it was the fun time to get dressed. It took 3 girls to help me into my dress, thank goodness Evan didn't talk me into marrying him while I was pregnant this could have been worse. I was determined while Evan was away to lose all my baby weight and get back to what I was before and I had managed to do that except this body has bigger boobs now.
"You look lovely" Nancy said as she snapped a couple pictures of me.
"Alright ladies, let's take some quick pictures, and then it's off to get hitched" said the photographer who was our high school receptionist.
My mom helped me into the car and we headed to the Carter's house. We had decided just to get married in one of the fields next to the big barn that was already used for these types of events. Awhile back Nancy wanted to make some extra money so she fixed up one of the barns on their property and allowed weddings to take place there. The closer we got the faster my heart started racing and the more I wanted to vomit because I was so nervous. It wasn't that I was nervous to marry Evan, it's just we had decided we would write our own vows and well it was harder than it looks. I knew what I wanted to say but every time I went to write it down on paper it came out all jumbled and a big mess, but then again what part of my life wasn't a jumbled up mess.
We had made it to the wedding site, which was decorated it 200 different old chairs, outside underneath a couple trees, that had lights hanging in them for when it got a little darker. Who would have thought Liz Parker would want nothing but the countriest wedding there could be. There were little fairy lights lite up all over the place, since we were getting married before sunset it was gonna start getting dark so these lights were perfect. There was lots of cute vintage country things all around, from what I could see everything looked perfect. We were rushed into a room inside the barn because the guys pulled up right as we got inside the barn so we had to hurry so Evan didn't see me.
As we sat in that room waiting on the wedding to start I couldn't help but get a little sad, because this is suppose to be a special day between a daughter and her dad as he gives her away, and I wouldn't have that moment.
"You ok honey?" My mom asked sitting down beside me, take Presley from me and placing her in her lap.
"Yeah, just wish dad could be here for all this" I said as a tear fell from my face.
"Oh, honey I know. I do too, he would be so proud of the young woman you have turned into."
"You think so?" I asked.
"I know so, you have done a lot of growing up these past 8 months and he would be more than happy to call you his daughter." she said as she gave my hand a tight squeeze.
"Thanks mom" I said leaning in to give her a kiss on the cheek.
"He is always with you sweetheart, maybe not in person but always in spirit." she pecked my cheek and got up and walked away fighting back tears, before she could lose it I asked
"Will you walk me down the aisle mom?" she turned around nodded her head and started crying.
