Their hearts were beating rapidly. His lips brushed against her cold neck as she gazed into the midnight sky that twinkled with the stars above them. She couldn't help but shiver, almost feeling so vulnerable to his very touch. But as cold as the two actually were from the nightly breeze, they couldn't help but feel something warm inside.
The girl turned her head, so that her sparkling eyes met his grey ones. A smile tugged at her lips as she rested her forehead against his. He couldn't help but smile too.
"I guess now you should tell me all your secrets." He whispered, his tone laced with interest.
"Oh, darling." She sighed, but reached up to run her soft fingers through his already-tussled hair. "I want to tell you all my secrets, but..."
"But what?" His hands were around her waist now, which were pulling her closer and closer with every breath they took.
"But you became one instead."
