"Rosepaw! Get up sleepyhead!" Graypaw's slightly irritated mew rang in Rosepaw's head as she sat up.
"Good morning, Graypaw! What's wrong?" She asked sheepisly.
"We're going on a border patrol by the BurrClan border. Come on." He replied, beginning to walk out of the den.
"Okay! Give me a few minutes!" She called to him, grooming herself. After a few minutes, she walked outside the den to see Grassstrike, her mentor, Graypaw, and Berrytail, Graypaw's mentor, standing outside the den.
"About time." Grassstrike growled.
"Sorry Grassstrike...." Rosepaw muttered.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the nest today! Don't worry Rosepaw, your fine." Berrytail told her, his voice gentle and kind. Rosepaw nodded, her happiness swiftly restored.
"Are we gonna go or are we gonna stare at each other all day?" Asked Graypaw, with a slight hint of amusement in his voice.
"Graypaw, we don't speak like that." Berrytail muttered, looking exhausted.
"Let's go! Come on Graypaw!" Rosepaw cried, jogging out of camp. Graypaw followed her, walking instead of jogging.
