When acting is the subject, I judge the performance of the actor.
I just don't like those who criticize Jared's taking on the legendary role. Well come on, they have to admit that he played it well! You cannot compare his acting with another Academy awardee (the late Heath Ledger) if they brought life to the same character in DIFFERENT films with DIFFERENT story plots.

The reason why Ledger's Joker stood out was because the Joker in The Dark Knight was the main antagonist, the supporting role. Whereas in Suicide Squad, Leto barely got enough screen time but still managed to direct the attention of the viewers on his character and justify The Joker's megalomanic being.
He didn't disappoint in his fifteen minutes of big screen exposure. That's why I stand for.
