Both of them got a text from Jughead, and he wrote :
Guys come to the river asap, Jasons body was found
Bettys P.O.V
As soon as I saw that text I jumped off my bed and changed my outfit then I got out of my house and ran to the river as fast as I could.
Archies P.O.V
I saw the text and I jumped in my pants and changed my shirt then got out of my house. When I came to the river I saw lots of people, cops, my friends, and others. I saw the body of Jason Blossom and I saw Cheryl, his sister, crying next to his body. I went to my friends and I asked:
"Didn't Jason drown?"
A black haired boy named Kevin looked at me and said "We all thought that until his body was found this morning, someone shot him"
"What? No way that someone shot him, Cheryl was with him when he drowned" I said, I was super confused.
"Well obviously someone killed him", a blonde-haired girl named Betty said.
"This is just another unsolved secret in Riverdale", a black-haired boy with a grey beanie named Jughead said.
All 4 of them looked at the river.
"And we are gonna solve this murder", Jughead breathed out.
2 HOURS LATER
Bettys P.O.V
My parents came and Archies dad came too. My mother was being a gossip girl like always so she went to the sheriff and started asking him some questions. Suddenly, Jughead came out of nowhere.
"Betty, can I ask you a few questions", he said while looking directly in my eyes.
"Y-yes...", I said a bit confused.
"Well, do you want to write the school newspapers with me and help me solve this mystery?", he asked and waited for my answer.
"Of course Jug", I noticed that Archie was looking at us like he wanted to say something with his eyes. I moved my look back to Jughead.
"I should go and find Kevin....", I said and hoped that Jughead wouldn't think that I'm trying to get rid of him.
"Um sure", he said a bit insecurely.
I saw Kevin and I ran to him.
"Kevin are you free tonight?" I asked.
"Yea why?" He answered and stared at me.
"I was hoping that you can come tonight so se can have a 'chick chat'", I laughed a bit.
"Omg yes", he said joyful and he laughed too.
The sky was getting darker so I came to Archie.
"Hey wanna go to Pop's?" He asked and his eyes were sparkling. His beatiful brown eyes that I fell for so hard. I just wanna kiss him.
SNAP OUT OF IT BETTY!
"Yeah yeah, sure", I said and I had a big smile on my face. He smiled back and we were walking to Pop's and talking.
"So, how was your summer break?" I asked while walking and I looked at him for 2 seconds.
"Well I met a cute girl and we went on a date but it turns out that she is a fucking psycho", he said and I laughed.
"And you say you're lucky", I was laughing feeling a bit jelaus because he went on a date with another girl. We came to Pop's and we ordered our "usual".
I ordered my chocolate milkshake and Archie ordered strawberry milkshake and he ordered himself a burger.
"Archie, I really need to tell you something..." I wanted to tell him how I feel.
"Tell me", he said and we were looking at each other.
"I...." I was just about to say that I like him when all of a sudden, a raven-haired girl with a big black coat came in and she saw us so she came.
"I'm Veronica Lodge", she said while looking at Archie.
"I am Archie Andrews", he said while looking at her and he had a huge smile on his face.
"Nice to meet you", she said.
"Veronica is such a beautiful name", Archie said and his smile grew.
"If you think my name is beautiful you should hear my phone number", she said obviously flirting. Archie laughed so hard.
Betty was looking at them cracking jokes and flirting. Her heart was broken seeing a boy she likes not paying attention to her.
A/N : so yeah i updated this chapter and i know it sucks but i wrote this quickly because i didn't want to dissapoint 20 people reading my story. Btw tysm for 20 reads in one day, i am so grateful 💘 but i am also suprised because someone likes my story 😂😂 this chapter is kinda short but i promise i'll make my next chapter longer since my birthday is tomorrow. vote if you like it and comment your opinion.
