I do not own Life is Strange or any of its characters nor do I own Carmilla or any of its characters. The only characters I claim ownership of are the reader, the reader's parents, the readers best friend, Tommy and the baby reader. Did I miss anyone? No? Alright, good.

You got home late that night, deciding to go for a stroll downtown after your little shopping trip with Danny. Even though Danny had seemed so confident that everything was going to be fine between you and Chloe, you couldn't help but worry.

What if after all these years, she had grown tired of you? What if she didn't want to commit, because she was going to break up with you soon? The thought brought tears to your eyes, and you had to sit down on a nearby park bench. You took a deep breath and tried to steel yourself. No, Chloe loved you, she wasn't going to break it off. Maybe she just needed time to come around to the idea.

You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "Pull yourself together, Y/N.." You said to yourself. The streetlamps overhead glowed faintly, lighting up the quickly darkening sky. It was getting late, you needed to get home so you didn't worry Chloe. Standing, you started walking towards your apartment. You could've sword you heard someone calling your name, but there didn't appear to be anyone around you. You shrugged and kept walking, before reaching the steps to your home. The lights were still on, which was odd, because Chloe usually went upstairs to watch TV this time of night. You opened the door and was greeted by Chloe, leaning against the far wall.

"You're home pretty late." She said and you nodded, taking off your coat and handing it up, putting your shoes on the rack. "Danny and I went shopping, and then I went for a walk in the park." You explained, walking over to her. She looked awkward, shuffling from foot to foot and avoiding your gaze.

That feeling of fear started to rise in your chest again, and you prayed that this wasn't what it looked like. "We-.. We need to talk." She said, and you nodded, keeping your face blank. You didn't want to hear this. You wondered what happened, how long she'd wanted this. You could feel the tears stinging your eyes, but you refused to let them fall.

She rubbed the back of her neck, still avoiding looking you in the eyes. "I've.. I've been trying to do this for a little while now.. I just haven't really been able to work up the courage I guess..."

You knew it. This was really happening. Five years.. you had made it five years. You had hoped for more, so much more. You loved her, so unbelievably much. You wanted the whole silly cliche, a nice house and white picket fence and a little family, you wanted to stay with her until you were both old and shriveled, but that clearly wasn't the case for her. It took all your restraint to subdue the sob rising in your throat.

"We've had a crazy run, huh? Five years.." She mumbled to herself. "I wasn't really expecting to do this right now, Danny said I should think bigger, but I don't know, that's not really you, is it? I thought, it should just be little, you know? Between the two of us."

So Danny knew. She knew and she had tried to protect you from it. She hadn't warned you this would happen. You should've known better. The dress, the girls night, it was all damage control. You heart felt like it was ripping in half, this weight settling in your stomach as Chloe walked closer to you.

"I've loved you for a long time.." She chuckled. "If you had told me back in that first year that I'd be doing this, I wouldn't have believed it, but here I am, and here you are.. Y/N I will always love you, but.. I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore..."
