Why
Does everyone I know,
Have mostly relaxed parents?
their parents LET them fly free
Albeit with restrictions,
While mine hold me down with chains.
Cut my wings,
Make it utterly impossible to fly,
Yet ask why I've stayed in one place for so long.
Don't you see it?
YOU are the cause of my pain.
YOU yell and scream and hit, but what do you accomplish?
Breaking a girl?
Breaking a girls spirit?
You spit in my face and tell me that "soon you will find out what REAL oppression is"
As if what I feel was already invalid.
If I feel something in my heart,
Shouldn't I chase it?
Shouldn't I go after what I want?
