Please comment what you think of this chapter! does it skip around too much? do it get confusing? and so on, I would really love to hear opinions, thank you! <3 -naclty (unicornrice) ps. thank you twins_in_life for giving me the push i needed lol
You ask me why I'm lying on the ground and then get mad when I remind you that you're the one who pushed me... -JEI
Knock off the head and the body will fall, so sayeth the King of the Crazies. Be careful though, for sometimes when you shoot for the head of your enemy, you get your own man in the process -JEI
Twelve hours earlier : 9:00 am : Delilah
"So where are we going?" I ask cheerily leaning forward and looking between the two guys who've introduced themselves as 'Joe' and 'Bob'. 'Bob' is the older one and clearly the one in charge.
They exchange a glance. Again. I'm starting to feel a little.....suspicious? Concerned? Uncomfortable? I'm not quite sure which.
"We're taking you to headquarters, Delilah," says 'Joe'.
My eyes widen. "How...how do you know my name?"
'Bob' leans over and smacks 'Joe' on the back head. "Dude, she wasn't supposed to know until we got her there. Delilah, calm down."
I'm pretty sure my eyes were burning holes into them.
"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down when I don't even know where we're going and who you guys exactly are?" I start to ramble. "And what if you guys were just lying and are going to kill me? What if-"
"Will you just be quiet? We're just taking our orders from our boss, we don't know anything else either," Joe cuts off my ramble with an exhausted sigh.
"Who's your so called boss then?"
"You'll meet him soon enough," Bob deadpans.
"Oooh. Is he cute?"
"I mean, girls surround him when they get the chance...I hope that answers your question," he answers uncomfortably.
"Is he a jerk though? Because there's this really hot guy but he's a jerkhead so...yea," I try to make conversation with him after a few minutes of awkward silence.
"And who is that jerk? Cause in your little gang, the only jerks I know are Matthias and Declan, although I'm not clear on who you're calling hot; they both look ugly with their frowns on all the time."
"Who said they were in my gang?" I state, turning to look out the window, hopefully hiding my blushing face.
"I just know," he simply replies.
Throughout the rest of the car ride I repeatedly repeated, "Are we there yet?" Can you blame me? I got bored easily.
"Are we there yet?" I repeat borely for the thirty-third time. Yes. I was that bored, that I even counted how many times I had said it.
Bob and Joe let out a heavy sigh, "I wonder how the Triad dealt with this one," Bob mutters under his breath as he puts his head in the cup of his hands, supporting his elbows by his knees.
"Hey! I'm still here you know. And I can hear you," I giggle at my extremely lame pun.
"Who the heck laughs at their own jokes?" Joe states in a disbelieving, yet amused, tone.
