#96 He's a single father

Your POV

"Come on Mia, let's go to the park!" I said to my 3 year old niece.

She ran to me and held my hand as we walked towards the park.

We arrived at the park and Mia ran off and started to play. I sat down on the bench watching her.

"Is this seat taken?" I heard someone ask. I turned around and saw a brown haired man with beautiful blue eyes. He was very attractive and looked around my age.
"No, sit if you like" I said .
He smiled gratefully and sat down. "I'm Niall" he said introducing himself. "I'm y/n" I told him. He appeared to be holding a coat that would fit a little girl.

"Daddy!" I heard a little girl shout. The little girl ran to Niall who was still sat next to me. The toddler had brown hair and blue eyes exactly like Niall.
"What's up princess?" Niall asked his daughter.
"My friend Mia is here too!" She said enthusiastically . "Really? That's great princess!" Niall said and she nodded.
"You know, Im Mia's auntie!" I told the little girl. "Really?" She asked and I nodded.

The little girl ran off again and Niall and I began talking keeping an eye on the girls.

"Your daughter is so cute" I said. "Thank you,she can be mischievous at times" He said chuckling.
"What's her name?" I asked. "Her name is Isabelle" he told me.

Mia and Isabelle ran over to us. "Can we get ice cream auntie y/n? And can Isabelle come too?" She asked. "Of course but it's up to Isabelle's daddy if they can come too" I told her.
"You up for ice cream?" I asked and he nodded.
"Isabelle come put your coat on" he said and helped his daughter out her coat on.

Mia and Isabelle walked ahead of us holding hands.

Niall and I talked a lot and got to know each other. We had already traded numbers. I had learned that he is 23 and was a member of the band one direction and could play guitar.

"Your daughters are very cute" An old women commented as she passed us. "Oh, um they aren't our daughters.they um we aren't together" I stuttered but the old woman just passed.

"I've known you for about an hour and people already think we look like a couple!" I said and face palmed. Niall just laughed.

Mia was next to me and Isabelle was next to Niall who was opposite me. Niall and I don't get any ice cream we just got the girls some.
"So why are you a single father? If you don't mind me asking?" I asked.
"Well, I don't mind you asking because it isn't a touchy subject . It was a stupid one night stand when I was extremely drunk. I didn't mean for it to happen. But I also don't regret it because if it never happened I wouldn't have got Isabelle who is the best thing to ever happen to me" He explained and I nodded.
"But the girl I got pregnant, ill not mention any names but she told me she was pregnant and said that once the baby was born I'd get it and she'll have nothing to do with it and she stick to her word and I've not seen her since" he added and I nodded.
"Has she ever asked about her mum?" I asked.
"Occasionally she will but she's not that bothered. I jut hope that I'll eventually find the perfect girl and settle down, you know get married have a few more kids . I just hope I at least have a girlfriend when she's like 12 because there's no way I'd be able to explain to her about periods and other things" he said and I nodded.

"Y/n?" Niall said. "Yeah?" I asked.
"I know it's early but I really feel like I've known you for years but would you um go on a date with me?" He asked fiddling with his hands. I smiled.
"Of course I will, I feel the same way, no need to be nervous" I told him and he smiled sighing with relief.
"Daddy and y/n, sitting in a tree!
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Isabelle sang. "I'm already being teased by your child and it's not even official!" I said laughing, Niall laughed too. "Yet!" He winked.
