I personally own a betta fish.
Now that you got your tank set up, it's time to add some decor. First things first, you are going to need some plants. You can choose between live plants and fake plants. With live plants you are going to need to do research on what plants would be best for you. A good live plant for a betta fish are moss balls. They don't require much and they are easy to find at any fish store. They also provide oxygen and absorb bad bacteria and algae.

If you want to go the fake plant route, I recommend silk plants. Silk plants can look natural and they won't tear you betta's fins. If you want plastic plants, they can come in bright colors and can 'spice' up your tank. Just make sure that they aren't scratchy/pointy and that they wouldn't tear your betta's delicate fins.

So now that you can plants, you can get some decorations. You can go to your local pet store and their should be a plethora of fish tank decorations. Just make sure your fish won't get stuck in the decoration and that it won't tear your betta's fins.
Here are some great examples of well decorated tanks:

Bettas also love leaf hammocks. They are inexpensive and bettas love to rest on them.

If you're more of a DIY person you can make a floating tube for your betta to chill out in.
