I sat in my hotel room getting my makeup touched up.All my bridesmaids stood around me smiling and drinking champagne.
We had already taken pictures and the ceremony started in half an hour.I can't lie, Im nervous as hell.Aug was sounding like he was getting cold feet last night and the last thing I need is a runaway groom.
Someone knocked on the door and Apryl opened it with a scoff.I looked over and it was Tremaine.He looked really nice.
"Hey."I smiled
"Hey.You look amazing."He said
"Thank you."I responded
"Can you guys give us a minute?"I asked everyone
The all left the room and Trey sat on the bed across from me.
"Roll down you shirt Trey."I said and rolled his sleeve down for him
"Thanks."He said
He didn't look at me.Just the ground.
"I know you're looking for the right words..me too."I said
He nodded."I just wanted to congratulate you.Im so proud of you and im really happy for you."
"Thank you."I nodded
"I just hope that this doesn't change anything.I still love you.You're still my best friend.It's just better if we're apart."I said
I know he's hurting but I've been hurting for over 10 years.This is for me.
"In theory,us being together would've been great with the kids but it didn't work and that's okay.I don't want you to feel bad.I want you to find love too."I rubbed his cheek
He nodded and hugged me tight.My robe started to feel wet and I realized he was crying.
"Please don't cry Tremaine."I said
"I just don't want to lose you."He sniffed
"You're not losing me.Im still here for you."I said
I grabbed his chin and made him look me in the eyes.
"You would never lose me."I said and kissed his cheek
There was a knock on the door.
"Adrienne,we gotta get you in your dress and started heading to the beach."Moniece said
"Okay."I said back
"Thanks for coming to talk to me Tremaine."I smiled
He nodded."Of course."
I walked him out and the girls came back in to help me get dressed.They grabbed the dress from the closet and zipped me up.
