A blond stranger clad in green destroyed the only family (Y/n) had left. She had decided to travel around the world, like Sinbad had always told her he wanted to do. The last time we saw her, she threatened Yunan's very existence.
Regular POV
"That's such a shame. I really thought we were getting along." You jumped before realizing the voice belonged to none other than Yunan, who happened to be standing behind you. Why'd he come back? You wondered. He already got what he wanted. Did he come to see me suffer more?
"What the hell do you want?" You snapped at him, whipping around to fully face him.
He calm stature remained, making your anger grow that much more. "I just wanted to tell you that maybe you should have more faith in your brother."
You glared at him. "It doesn't matter how much faith I have in him. Over 10,000 men have gone in that... that dungeon and died!" You shoved all the fury into that word before spitting it out with disdain.
"Could it be that you're just... scared?" Yunan asked innocently.
Horror crossed your face for a split second, barely noticeable. Does he know about...? No, it's impossible. Just a lucky guess. You made a tsk sound at him. "And what should I be scared of? Loosing my family? That already happened! What's next?" You yelled.
The blond shook his head. "No, not afraid of loosing Sinbad. What you're afraid of... is being alone again." You froze, giving him the chance to continue. "You think they will find you and take you back. That was why you continued hiding in this small town. You partnered yourself with Sinbad when you were young, and you two became stronger together. You think you're more vulnerable now that he's not with you."
You hung your head, a shadow covering your eyes. "You don't know what you're talking about."
His blue eyes looked down at you sadly. "Oh, but I do. You see, I knew your birth parents before they-"
"Not another word!" You shouted at him. "How do you know all this?"
"I... am a traveler. I meet different people... when I met your parents, they were in need of some assistance. I helped your mother when--"
"STOP!" You didn't want to hear this story. You'd already lived through it, with the sounds to accompany it... the screams that haunted you... you shook the memories away. "Just get away from me! I would rather be alone than stuck with you!"
Before you could register the hurt in his eyes, a red wire wrapped around you multiple times, and you instinctively brought your arm up for a backwards punch. It was successful, as the back of your fist met the soft skin of a face. But they didn't leave you unscathed, either. You winced as a triangle-like weapon attached to a second wire dug into your arm, digging deep into the flesh. It pulled out when you punched the controller.
"Dammit! How'd you read my attack?" They wailed in pain and anger.
You turned to face your attacker, seeing it to be a little boy around the age of ten. He had bandages around most of his body, including his face, accompanied with some sort of ragged cloth as a coat. His silver-white hair and dead green eyes glistened in the moonlight.
"Hey bitch, I'm talking to you! Are you deaf or something?" He yelled.
That shook you out of the pain. "What the hell did you just call me?" You snapped at him.
Yunan stepped in, trying to separate the two of you. "N-now, now, let's not fight..." then he bent down to your ear, an ever-and-always reminder you were shorter, and whispered, "besides, you want to get as far from him before the rest of his team turns up, right? It's best to do that in the dark, while under the cover of night."
You huffed in frustration, but realized he was right. Sunrise was only a few hours away, and if you wanted to get away from this little killer-wannabe, you would have to leave now. You gave one last scowl at the child, punched his face again, and started running around the mountain. You got only a few steps before your legs gave out. Too confused as to why it was happening, you didn't have time to cry out. The last thing you saw was Yunan's worried face as he rushed forward. You could've sworn you felt strong, comfortable arms around you instead of the ground.
You lost consciousness.

A/N Sorry it's short, chapter lengths will vary from now on. The Prologue is probably the longest chapter I will make, and this is the shortest.
