When You Meet Him - Jay

"NO! NO, I DON'T WANT THIS! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!?" You scream, demanding an answer.
"Sweetheart, calm down. We're doing this for you're own good." Mom says calmly.
"YOU CAN'T SEND ME THERE! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT STUFF! IT'S FINALLY SUMMER! AND YOU'RE SENDING ME TO ROBOTICS CAMP!?"

You know you're overreacting, but it's summertime, FINALLY, and you won't be able to hang out with Bf/n. You and her made so many plans for the summer and now it's going to be ruined just because your parents want to send me to Robotics Camp for a month!
All this, because ONE time, you helped your little brother hook his new PlayStation to the TV, because he couldn't figure out how to. You didn't know the first thing about robotics.
Your life was going GREAT.

You sighed and hugged your parents goodbye, as the bus going to robotics camp arrived in front of your house. "Bye Mom. Bye Dad. Love you guys." You said as you headed to the bus. You climbed on the bus and looked for a seat as you walked around. You saw an empty seat, by a boy with brown hair and a blue t-shirt that said "Robots Have Feelings Too".

You rolled your eyes and stood over the seat.
"This seat taken?" You ask the boy.
The boy was tinkering with something shiny in his hands and was looking down the whole time. "Nuh uh." He replied.

You sat down, set your duffel bag by your feet, and grabbed your phone. Every now and then, you would glance at the boy, his muscles tensing up as he screwed something into the thing in his hands. Those glances slowly turned to stares, as you watched his muscles and his soft brown hair. You just wanted to feel it.

"Uh... hi?" A voice said.
You blinked a couple times before realizing the boy was staring at you, looking concerned.
Great.

"Uhhh.... h-hi?" You said, slowly.
Oh boy. This is so embarrassing.
"Were you staring at me?" He asked.
"Whaaaaaat. Nooo. I was just... uh.. trying to figure out what you're working on!.." You lied.
You don't normally lie, but this was an emergency.

"Oh well.. it's not much but I thought it would be funny." He says and opens his clenched hands to reveal a tiny robot the size of your pointer finger. He presses a button on the back of its head, and it starts doing the robot dance.
You start laughing, because it was so useless, yet so cute. He starts laughing too, and soon everyone in the bus is looking over at us.

Our laughter soon dies down and everyone goes back to minding their own business.
"My name's Jay. I'm the... uh... the blue ninja."
He says nervously.

Your eyes widen. O.M.G.
You're talking to the BLUE NINJA!?
How did you not notice before??
"Ohhhh no." Jay says, worry in his voice. "Please don't get everyone on the bus and tell them to come look at me."
"Why would I do that?" You ask.
"I-I don't know.. Other people have done it before.." He says. "Anyway, I never got your name."
"Oh. Well, my name's Y/n" You reply.
"Y/n, huh? Nice name." He says and smiles.
You smile back.

You finally arrive at camp and settle in at your cabin with about 5 other girls. You're unpacking your duffel bag, when you spot Jay's little dancing robot, with a note taped onto it.
You unfold the note and smile as you read it.

You blush like crazy, fold the note back up, and put it in your pocket.

"Maybe Robotics Camp won't be so bad after all." You say as you put the little robot on your bed.
