"This is so exciting! You're going on a date with a ninja!!" Your mom squealed.

Was your mom... fangirling?

"M/n, how can you be excited about this?! This ninja saves the city almost every day! This means Y/n could be in danger!" Your dad said, adjusting his shotgun in his hands.
You rolled your eyes playfully.
"Dad. Don't worry. It's just for one night. If anything goes wrong, he'll protect me. I'm sure of it." You said.
Your mom puts her hands on your shoulders.
"See D/n? I told you. She's not a little girl anymore. She's becoming a woman."
You mentally face palmed. Your parents could be so... cheesy sometimes. But you still loved them.

No matter how much they embarrassed you...

Your mom moved her hands off your shoulders and started brushing your h/l h/c hair. You heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it." You dad grumbled, marching to the door.

"Uh oh." You whispered.

After your mom was done, she put your golden necklace around your neck and applied a few extra touches of makeup on you. You smiled, slipped on your favorite bracelets, hugged your mom and thanked her. She smiled and said, "Hurry and go greet your date before your dad scares him off." You laugh and run to the living room. You're surprised when you see your dad talking to Cole, with a big smile on his face. Cole looked over at you, slack jawed. You smile and pretend not to notice.

"Hey, Y/n!" Your dad calls. "Why did you never tell me that this young man is the son of Lou!?
A member of the Royal Blacksmiths!?"

You face palmed. You totally forgot your dad was a big fan of the Royal Blacksmiths.
Cole stood up and walked over to you.
"It was very nice meeting you, Mister L/n." Cole said.
"Please. Call me D/n."
Your dad said. "Now be careful, and stay out of that balcony." (ROMEO AND JULIET REFERENCE. Get it? No? Ok awkward..)

"Daaaaaad." You said, embarrassed.
"I'll take good care of her, D/n. Don't worry."
Cole smiled as he led you out the door.

Once you and Cole were outside the house, you let out a sigh of relief.
"Sorry about my dad, Cole." You said.
"What are you sorry about? You're dad's pretty cool." He smiled as he put his arm around your shoulders. You tensed up for a few seconds, then slowly gained enough courage to put you arm around his back. He froze for a second then continued walking.

"So, where are we going?" You asked. "You said to dress casual, so I'm very curious."
"You'll find out sooooooon." Cole said.
You groaned and kept on walking with Cole.

Finally, after a while, you guys reached your destination.
"There it is." Cole said, as he pointed to the direction of beach. You looked up at the sun. It was about an hour away from setting.
Your eyes widen as you realize how romantic this whole thing is. Especially when the sun sets. You smile as Cole leads you across the sand, onto a bunch of large rocks in the water. You're surprised at how empty the beach is. Cole finally stops walking when you're both on a large, nearly flat rock. He sets you down on the rock after pulling out a basket.

"Where the heck did you get baske-"
"Doesn't matter." Cole interrupts. "Let's just enjoy this." He says as he pulls f/f and f/d out of the basket.
You spot the food and start eating it quickly.
"This is delicious! Did you make this!?" You ask, mouth filled with food.
"Me? Sadly, no. Everyone says my cooking sucks, but I think otherwise." You say.
You swallow your food and say, "Well, I'm sure your cooking is awesome." You smile. (You're gonna find out Cole sucks at cooking the hard way. Trust meh)
