WANTED: Sperm Donor

Chapter 22

"Why you didn't tell me that we hired a new doctor in De Alonzo Hospital?" I asked Paige the moment she took her seat in front of me.  I waited for her in the same garden in my mansion where we always talked about business. We just got home from the hospital. She just rolled her eyes on me. Kung matino ba namang babae itong kausap ko?

"I did informed you, your Highness." She answered in a very relax tone and that ako lang talaga ang ulyanin sa aming dalawa kung makapagsalita kasi hindi ko naalala ang tungkol sa bagay na iyon.

"How come I didn't know about it?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I informed you over the phone when you called me to have Manong Sandro pick you up at The Seniors Cafe in San Agustin, remember?" She confirmed. Sandali akong napaisip. May binanggit ba talaga siya akin tungkol sa bagong doctor? Until, yeah....she did inform me about hiring this new doctor with exquisite scholastic records which they couldn't decline but I was not paying attention to details.

"Naalala mo na?" 

"Oo na. Siya pala ang tinutukoy mo." Tumango ako.

"Yes. And the board agreed to it plus your go signal so it was legit. Your Uncles were there too when we hired him."

"Alright. Alright." I motioned her to stop which she did in my surprise. Napatitig ako sa basong may laman na orange juice sa harapan ko. Suddenly, I'm lost of words.

"Galvin was requesting for a female OB." I said out of nowhere softly and I saw Paige hide her smile.

"Marami naman tayong female OB sa hospital but since---"

"By the way, why is this security guard Manong Juancho was still posted at home? Di ba sabi ko palitan siya kaagad kasi pinagpalit niya ako sa double pay niya kay Galvin?" Nilingon ko si Paige at pinanlakihan ng mata.

"Wow ha... nakakatakot naman yang super huge eyes mo." She commented grinning while imitating my facial expression. Kahit kailan talaga hindi  marunong matakot sa akin ang babaing ito.

"With due respect Your Highness, I think Manong Juancho did the right thing because you are carrying your first child now. Kung hinarang ka niya na sumama kay Galvin noon eh baka problemado pa tayo hanggang ngayon sa sperm donor mo. So yeah, I think he deserves to stay. And beside he is doing his job properly. Spare the poor guy, okay?" At kumindat pa siya sa akin.

"So hindi na ako ang nasusunod sa pamamahay na ito?" Tumayo ako mula sa upuan ko at nameywang. 

"My God!" Naihilamos niya ang palad sa mukha niya.

"Of course you are. Please try to be logical. Isantabi mo muna yang preggy hormones mo."

"What is it with my preggy hormones?" I queried in high pitch and she just grinned at me for the second time.

"Basta, ganoon yun. Anyway, aalis na ako kamahalan. May iba pa po kayong katanungan?"

"Does Atty. Carmelo knew I'm pregnant?" Napatigil si Paige sa akmang pagtayo sa upuan niya.

"Nope. Nagkataon lang na na-admit ang apo niya sa hospital kaya nagkita kami. Pero hindi niya alam ang kalagayan mo. He did saw you though. But that was all it."

"Good." I answered softly. "We'll let him know once it is confirmed that I am carrying a baby girl." Tumango si Paige saka ako hinalikan sa pisngi at umalis na sa harapan ko. 

"I'll go ahead." She said. I nodded at her.

"Manang where is Galvin?" Tanong ko habang nasa harap ng dining table. My nanny is currently preparing the table and our food for dinner.
